There is only one way to edify your life as a house that resists storms: structuring it with the wisdom of the Lord that is found in His Word. But before receiving such comprehension, which is very important so you will act correctly in all things, seek understanding that the Most High gives to those who become His children (Proverbs 17:16). Then, you will advance in your walk of faith.
The Word says that if anyone lacks wisdom, they should ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given (James 1:5). If we ask with faith, we will receive wisdom. Therefore, as a wise man, you will always have the right answers. Many times, we must be radical in saying no, because whatever proceeds from the evil one must be rejected.
The Lord encourages us to be wise, and He says that makes His heart rejoice (Proverbs 23:15). With such guidance, it is our responsibility if we don’t act according to what was said to us. On the other hand, He also says that if we allow the wicked to teach us things, soon dishonor and reproach will come against us (Proverbs 18:3). It is our decision, and what happens to us as a consequence will prove if we walk with the Most High or not.
Our house should be built upon the Rock, and not upon sand. Jesus taught that to us when He spoke about the fool and the wise men (Matthew 7:24-27). The fool built his house upon the sand, and it fell because of the wind and rain. The wise man built his house on the rock. He faced the same storms, but his house was still standing. Those who act with wisdom edify their lives upon the Rock.
The Northern kingdom, also called Israel, never had a wise king. All who governed it worshipped golden calves made by Jeroboam. This is what happens to people who don’t bow before the true God and don’t serve Him: when the storms of life come, they will fall and never rise back again, just like it happened to this kingdom when Hosea was leading. Be wise and the Lord will take pleasure in you.
Besides wisdom, the Creator guarantees that, with understanding, a house is established. Our lives should be built upon the Rock, Jesus, the living Word. Don’t be fooled. If you’re living upon worldly concepts, your end will be terrible. Those who trust in the Lord will inherit celestial Canaan, eternal joy. Therefore they live at peace, without being shaken by storms.
Keeping the Lord’s commandments will give you wisdom and understanding. This way you’ll be unbeatable in your battles. The Father is pleased at those who resist the enemy and hold on to what the Scriptures say. Build a firm house, because that’s why you are a part of the Kingom of God. He wants to use you in a wonderful way! Amen?
In Christ, with love,

Lord! We come to You to receive what You have for those who are members of Your body. We need wisdom, but we can’t afford to lose the understanding that will make us overcome.
We should do the work as our brethren in the past did. They understood Your will and performed it in a way that was pleasing to You. In the same way, those who have understanding today, will be successful in their faith in Christ.
Why should we live on this earth, as members of Your body, without fulfilling Your will? Father, millions of people must understand that Your people is used by You to accomplish this special work. Help us, dear Savior!
