25/05/2021 - HOW TO DRAW NEAR TO GOD?

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Hebrews 10:22

There are four steps to be observed by those who long to overcome; they will help us avoid being dominated by evil. The verse above talks about our choices, which are made when we stand firm in our faith in Jesus, and which bring us joy. These steps will lead us to objective positions and will guarantee success, because we don’t live out of luck. We are victorious!

It is necessary to draw near with a sincere heart, equipped to fight and destroy the forces of evil. If you stutter before an enemy that must be cast out in the name of Jesus, he will realize you don’t have the necessary faith and will keep annoying your life. But now, when you prepare yourself internally, you will be cleansed from spiritual disorder. Be delivered from the guilty conscience that accuses you day and night. Repent and live!

Until you’ve accepted Jesus as your Savior, you will live unprotected. Once you’re saved, you will automatically be free from your sins, as long as you repent, confess them to God and don’t fall into committing them again. This is what the Word guarantees: There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit (Romans 8:1). The redeemed will have complete access to the Lord.

Scriptures declare: Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 5:1). Justification happens when we are saved, when God forgives us of all our transgressions. Then, the devil can’t oppress and blame you for the evil things you did. Once you change your behavior, you’ll be in peace with the Lord.

No one can draw near to the Most High without faith. Some Christians say they don’t understand the Lord because He doesn’t respond to them. Although many people have some of their prayers answered, there are still other necessities that haven’t been solved even though they trust in God. Without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). Peter started to sink because he had little faith (Matthew 14:30-32). 

One of the things that blocks heaven from operating is a bad conscience. Those who aren’t honest with the Most High, don’t confess their sins and leave them will never draw near to Him. Or, if they’ve done it without conviction, they won’t stay before the living God. The Father knows what people are thinking, no matter where they are, and He doesn’t forget it. It is impossible to fool Him.

Just as we shower every day to clean our bodies from dirt and sweat – which provides a relief sensation – we should also bathe in the Lord’s purifying waters: the revelations of His Word (Ezekiel 36:25). His waters free us from everyday evilness. Purify yourself!
