Now therefore, in the sight of all Israel, the assembly of the Lord, and in the hearing of our God, be careful to seek out all the commandments of the Lord your God, that you may possess this good land, and leave it as an inheritance for your children after you forever. 1 Chronicles 28:8

David warned his son that he would soon become king of Israel in his place. Jesse´s son sensed the nearness of his own death, when he would be gathered into the Lord´s eternal Kingdom. The old king would be “promoted”; then, full of victory, he declared the words of the Most High. The Israelites would not be harmed by David’s departure, for Solomon would be a good ruler, if he honored God.

For 40 years, the one who shepherded his father’s sheep had been the shepherd of the people of Israel, teaching them to keep the divine precepts and judgments, which he himself followed. Wanting the good of his own people and the nations around him, David said goodbye and reminded how every servant of God should proceed. He learned to conduct himself wisely, according to the Scriptures, therefore, he was never defeated in battles!

Israel was the Lord’s congregation on Earth. Anyone who was wise would look at the Israelite´s way of life, begin to please God, and respect the Lord’s little kingdom as an example of His love and care. Likewise, the Church of Jesus is the congregation of Heaven on Earth. Therefore, those who pass through the narrow gate and the narrow path will be saved (Matthew 7:13,14). The choice is yours!

David used the following expression: in the hearing of our God. Was he wrong to speak in this way, because being elderly, he might not have been thinking clearly or he might have erred for lack of knowledge? He did not err. As he was about to die, he was sure that the Lord pays attention to what we ask Him. May God’s ears be attentive to the cries of His children!

Those who don´t seek nor keep the Lord’s commandments live far from His promises, without understanding how to succeed. God pays attention to those who try to learn how to act well in the face of circumstances and do not get involved with the hellish kingdom. The Almighty always provides us with what we ask for; we just have to live under His guidance and act in His Name.

The Most High desires to give you the Promised Land, the Gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven. If you learn the commandments and strive to keep them, you will be someone prepared by the Most High to change the world. No one will do the work alone, but by the Word, each one, discovering their place in Christ, will accomplish it by faith – under the Holy Spirit´s guidance.

Finally, in addition to possessing the Promised Land, God desires that you also make your children heirs to the blessed promise. So don’t leave them out of this blessing!
