And no one considers in his heart, nor is there knowledge nor understanding to say, “ I have burned half of it in the fire, Yes, I have also baked bread on its coals; I have roasted meat and eaten it; and shall I make the rest of it an abomination? Shall I fall down before a block of wood?

Isaiah 44: 19

God abhors any form of idolatry considering that it blinds men and it makes them worship the enemy whilst they think they are offering a service to The Lord. Those people who are driven into worshiping idols become an easy prey for the worst demons which enslave them in such a vile manner that they even get to the point of blinding their understanding, so they will not realize the error in which they are entangled. Idolaters have never pleased The Most High.

Idolaters cannot see how insensibly they are living their lives and they do not realize that, at each attitude they take, they are going further away from The True God. Some happen to make up their own idols; others accept anyone fabricated by men’s imagination. They consecrate their love to those idols and they are even capable of sacrificing their own lives to get such wooden, or plaster puppet – or that made of any other material – before them.

Idolatry may be practiced even in The Gospel considering that those who put the declarations of a preacher above The Word of God are causing him or her to become their own idol. However unbelievable it might seem, to many of them, what matters most are someone else’s words. They listen to The Word, but they cannot believe in IT and, by doing so, they end up devoid of the necessary power to become winners. If they just opened their eyes and sought The Lord in The Scriptures they would victoriously find Him.

The attempt of making a parallel between the living God and any images will only lead you to complete ruin. The Most High neither lets Himself be compared with anything nor does He allowed that to take place. He is The Absolute Lord whereas idols are only images made up by men with demonic inspiration. That ban has been on since the Ten Commandments (Exodus 20: 4, 5). Those who do not fulfil such ordinance will surely suffer because the enemy will be on the loose to touch them.

Idolatry blocks the understanding of those who practice it by driving them further and further away from THE TRUE LIGHT. However sincere a person might be and however much they might pray, idolatry hinders their understanding. The very message that inspires somebody by turning them into a winner cannot do the same with those who practice idolatry since they see everything the opposite way.

Those who give themselves to such abomination will never have peace and a sense of accomplishment in their lives; yet, as they do not see the truth they will be walking fast towards eternal doom. We have to seek the anointing of The Lord and, with love and patience, struggle to open up the eyes of the idolaters. It is sad to see them in such a miserable state.

Only the love of God at work can deliver people who have been caught up in the idolatry and witchcraft entanglement. Once delivered they will become dedicated Christians because those whose many sins are forgiven are so because they loved much (Luke 7: 47 a).
