Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are unruly, comfort the fainthearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all.

I Thessalonians 5:14

Those who breach the order are unruly and the worst of them are those used by the enemy to cause harm to the Kingdom of God. We, however, who are in the Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus, have the obligation to bear good witness in everything we do. None of our actions must favor the greatest of all rebels – which is the devil – because the Bible declares that we are living letters written by the Lord which most of the lost ones can read (II Corinthians 3:1-3). Yet, if we let the devil lead us towards sin, if we give a very bad example to others and if we do not take upon ourselves or accomplish our mission, we will be breaking the order established by the Most High.
The unruly should not be shunned, but admonished with love – a feeling that must permeate all our actions because only through love many will become sensible and abandon their wrong ways. Only those who are firm at fulfilling the divine plan get to please God. That is the reason why they are so strong, after all by rejoicing the heart of the Lord He grants them His strength (Nehemiah 8:10b). My brethren, you must always fulfil the commands of the Most High and in so doing you will be His joy.
The fainthearted need our prayers. Actually, they need to be comforted because if they lose heart and faith completely they will not even seek divine help and, consequently, they will become easy preys in the hands of Satan. You must never let it happen in your life; you must not forget that without wood the fire goes out (Proverbs 26:20a). Therefore, climb the mount of God and “cut wood” for your bonfire not to be extinguished. The Lord has not changed; He does the same works in the lives of those who dare to believe in His Word.
Those who are weak in faith frequently fall. Unfortunately many are those who have not resisted temptations. Actually, nobody who is
spiritually strong is brought down by the enemy, but because some fall for the temptation of not keeping a watchful eye they also stop praying, going to church, reading the Bible and, in this way, they lose strength day after day. So, when they realize that they have no more strength to fight against the devil’s onslaughts, they fall.
In complementing Paul’s instructions, the Spirit of God says that it is our duty to be patient with everybody (James 5:8). Those teachings are given to us so that we can do the work without condemnation. For instance, the enemy uses somebody to do us some kind of harm and if we are not tuned with the Heavens, we retaliate – which might cause some people to shut themselves to the Message of the cross. On the other hand, if we are patient and do not pay back the aggressions we suffered, we will manage – even if it is in the future – to get the admiration from many of those that hurt us because once the nervousness and the agitation are gone many of our offenders will repent of what they did to us.
In Christ, with love,
