In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.’ For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.

I Corinthians 11:25-26

Without the work done by our Lord on the Calvary we would be lost forever. Salvation does not only encompass the best of all presents – which is the eternal life with Jesus – but also many other blessings that will benefit us if we learn how to claim for them. Therefore, we must not forget what Christ did for us.
The enemy has oppressed many children of God by making them suffer unnecessarily. However, when we get to know our rights in Jesus and declare that they belong to us, Satan cannot keep us going through sufferings any longer; after all, Jesus declares that the knowledge of the Truth is what makes us free (John 8:32).
The Bible is quite clear when It states that Christ has borne our diseases and sorrows (Isaiah 53:4). But for that to become a reality we have to believe and demand our healing to be performed and we must not accept the devil’s lies. If you have sins hidden in your heart; if you are not sincere and if you make use of tricks to achieve your goals, you will not succeed because wickedness of the heart is a disease – also borne by Jesus on the cross – which prevents us from using the power of God.
The work of salvation was complete, so there is no point in being part godly part ungodly because in this way your prayers will not be answered. Those who become prosperous with deceitful hands are fooling themselves because when temptation comes they will not be able to get rid of the hellish onslaughts. Those who belong to the Lord must work only with His power. Christ suffered our sins so that we could be healed in the body, soul and spirit.
All the things we put aside become forgotten with time. The same happens in the spiritual world: if we disregard the revelation of what was
done for us at the Calvary, with time we will also forget such great work. However, meditating on what Jesus did in our behalf at the Calvary helps us to be always ready to take possession of blessings. Those who do not claim their rights will not be answered!
The best way to announce the death of Christ is enjoying the wonderful blessings that were conquered for us. The Word of God reverberates very strongly in the hearts of the lost ones when they witness what IT has done in our lives. In fact, our success in all fields is the greatest message that we can preach because as people observe our holy attitude they recognise that serving God is the best choice.
So, stay out of the enemy’s reach – that is only possible by means of your firm decision to fulfil what is written in the Word of God. Bear the best witness of what the Most High can do in your life by living your blessings to the fullest. My prayer is for your life to be an example of what God is capable of doing in each one of us!
In Christ, with love,
R. R. Soares
