After the fall of Adam, humanity found itself in the spiritual desert, where water was not available – the Word of God was rare. Without the brightness of divine light, people acted as they could to get rid of evil. The world had plunged into terrible and dense darkness, and the fear of the Lord was far from man. The Creator was beginning to show His plan of redemption, and the enemy was roaming the world as if he owned it.

Even so, a ray of hope always shone on men, but few people sought the Lord with their hearts. Noah preached for 120 years and did not get a single convert. Even seeing Abraham’s faith, it is not known whether the people who lived around him went to him to be blessed; except Abimelech, the king of Gerar, who had the women of his kingdom restored to fertility (Gen. 20.17).

Prophecy declares that the Israelites were known to Him in a very dry land. It is not like today, when we see the Lord blessing lives just by looking at Jesus. All over the world, special hearings of the Most High are heard, even for people who ridiculed faith in Christ and then, when they realized it, had been healed. We live in the time of the Good News even for those who are not interested in God.

The Israelites believed in Moses and let themselves be guided by the Spirit of God to Canaan. The new land, symbol of the Gospel, was fertile, and they were satisfied in the proportion that they used the “pasture” granted to them, as occurs in the faith in Jesus. No one grows spiritually unless they seek the Lord in the Scriptures. In them, God can be found by those who want to know Him a little more!

The cause of the suffering of many today is repeated with individuals who feel fed up, but do not give the glory due to God or seek Him. Their lives could be much better if they really sought Him. Many seem doped, but in reality, they are dominated by the spirit of Hell, which came to steal, kill and destroy (Jn 10.10a). We have to present the Truth to them!

With the abundance of bread came pride and the greatest chasms. So it has been. Every day, scandals follow, and whoever should be a teacher still remains in elementary principles. The result is an increase in lust, lust and other sins as harmful as these. Some believers no longer follow sound doctrine and, therefore, run after some considered teachers.

Ephraim forgot God; much of the so-called Christian church has forgotten Him, which is the Word. Thus, to overcome the lack of the living Christ in their midst, they create dogmas, creeds, councils and other worthless things. The Lord’s house is the place of God’s power and not political power. Wake up, Israel today, the Most High still loves you!
