The backslider in heart will be filled with his own ways, but a good man will be satisfied from above.

Proverbs 14: 14

An unfaithful servant is someone who, deep in his heart, pays no notice to the teachings of our Father. That person gets even to the point of answering positively to the divine directions for a while, but whenever temptation strikes he lets himself be carried away by it because he thinks that if he gives in, even slightly, to something he deems to be pleasant or financially profitable, that will not cause him any trouble at all. Look out! He does not know that the evil spirit which he is being obedient to will draw towards him seven other worst ones to get rid of his current happiness.

A good man is the one who totally pays respect to The Word of God. If he perceives that a decision he might have made or desired goes against the Word of God, he will promptly leave that way, and then he will repent and begin fulfilling the will of God. A good man will repent up to seventy times seven on a single day because he does not resist the conviction of The Holy Spirit. That man is just like anyone else; now, what makes him stand out is his fearing The Lord.

There will come a day on which the unfaithful will have enough of their own ways and they will come to the conclusion that everything they have been doing – their plans, either unveiled or veiled, and their other errors – are completely useless considering that those have already caused them a huge harm. The downside here is that such conclusion, most of the times, unfortunately does not lead them into repentance. The unfaithful have the bad habit of willing to do everything completely different from the teachings of The Word of God.

No wrong way is suitable to anyone, whoever they might be. Even the most ruthless gangsters come to the conclusion, sooner or later, that they have taken the wrong turn. The wages of sin are never of any assistance to anyone; they only destroy one’s soul which is immortal and, thus, being devastated now, it will go straight into eternity that way from where it will never come out. Repentance is quite a blessing granted to us by God considering that, with it, we are rebuilt and then we can rise from the ashes.

What an eternal suffering those who are unfaithful in their hearts will have to bitterly endure forever! They will feel remorse, yet not repentance as they realize how filthy, evil and unthankful they have been to The One whose only desire was to do them well. If you have been unfaithful, if you have been caught up in a snare of bitterness; then, before it is too late, you ought to turn to God and ask Him to transform you into a new creation.

A good man will come to the conclusion that it was a good idea to have been obedient to The Lord. His joy will be so immense that he will feel satisfaction for having been well blessed. He will always enjoy the reward of his good deeds. What someone like you should have plenty of? Good or bad deeds. Having plenty of something in context here means having a sense of accomplishment.

What kind of person have you been so far? Be faithful to yourself right now and look into your life. If there is any concealed sin deep there in your heart, do not let it remain any longer in there. Be a good man, a good woman! Not someone considered unfaithful by The Lord! This is the right time for you to have a second thought on your attitudes and begin putting into practice good deeds from now on. Do not go into eternity in error for you not to end up getting the eternal death sentence!

In Christ, with love,

R. R. Soares
