I brought you into a fertile land to eat its fruit and rich produce. But you came and defiled my land  and made my inheritance detestable. Jeremiah 2:7

The failure of many is due to the fact that they do not read the Word with a hunger to learn more about the Lord and their rights. For this reason, these Christians live in frustration, speaking evil of the Way. Jesus is the One who takes us to the Father, so that our needs may be met (John 14.6; Matthew 6.33) and we may dedicate praise and thanksgiving to Him. However, without knowing the Scriptures, we will always live defeated.

We have been introduced to a fertile land, but we have not yet discovered what it means to have salvation, because in most cases it is just a change – without result, from one religion to another. What Jesus taught has not taken its rightful place in our hearts. Thus, there is no real and visible transformation in us. We need to turn to the Bible and learn what it says about Christ and us.

God has placed us in the Gospel to eat of its fruit, but some ask, “What fruit?” We see so many cold people, showing no joy in what they say is their service for the Most High. Now, the Word teaches us:  Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs (Psalm 100.2). Why not give God a demonstration that we are joyful in front of everyone?

The truth is that we ignore the fact that Jesus came to take us out of the kingdom of sin and transport us to the Kingdom of the Good News. Because we don’t understand what it is to serve God and obey His will, we do nothing. The present Church must change or the Lord will let it go to Babylon. If we act carelessly, we will be condemned to bondage just as it happened to Israel. Captivity? No?

Whose fault is it? Certainly the pastors, who do not prepare themselves to present themselves approved to the Lord (2 Timothy 2:15). God doesn’t need preachers with master’s degrees or doctorates, but rather, filled with the Holy Spirit. The devil has deceived many people, leading them to value a paper hanging on the wall, when they should be full of the divine glory, as happened to Moses when he went down the mountain (Exodus 34:29,30). Watch and pray!

Besides not enjoying the good land, we contaminate our children, the Lord’s inheritance, making them an abomination. Some even go as far as to think that there are boys and girls who were born in the wrong bodies and therefore – there is nothing wrong with having sex change surgeries. What will be the fate of those who have not been taught that God never makes mistakes? The Lord knew us when we were a shapeless mass in our mother’s womb and made us as he wanted (Psalm 139.13-16).

It is time to get right with the Father or prepare for eternal suffering. Remember what He said: I brought you into a fertile land to eat its fruit and rich produce. But you came and defiled my land and made my inheritance detestable.
