He who gathers in summer is a wise son; he who sleeps in harvest is a son who causes shame.  Proverbs 10.5

The Lord’s wisdom has placed on Earth what is necessary for man to live. Some people don’t believe that God made all things and even claim that there is no Creator. But this is easily disputed: if we look at the way our body works, the organs that make it up, we can see that they are the work of a wise mind. The Lord was perfect in His creation.

In order to make our planet habitable, the Most High organized the four seasons. After winter, spring brings awakening to the Earth. The birds sense when this is about to happen and start nesting. Then, as they court, their chicks soon appear. It is a tremendous joy to see life renewing itself. In spring, the soil is prepared for planting food.

When the field is well developed, summer comes with its strong heat. This is when the harvest takes place. Some foods are planted towards the end of summer and harvested in the fall; others are sown in the fall to be harvested in the winter, in soils where the temperature is not so low. Food has the right amount of nutrients that humans and animals need. The functioning of everyone’s digestive system is phenomenal!

Since most food is harvested in the summer, the Word of God makes us aware of the fact that some people gather in this season. Those who take advantage of the Lord’s visitation time and save what they can are called wise sons. The right time to buy food is at harvest time, because it is cheaper due to the abundance. This way, it can be stored to consume later. The Bible tells us that the ant also does this (Proverbs 6:6-8)!

Who taught the ants to store food? Surely the Creator gave them the understanding that abundance is seasonal; so, being forewarned, they have something to eat in winter. Stock up on what has been ministered to you in the Word, because when scarcity comes, you won’t die for lacking the Bread of Heaven (2 Timothy 4:1-3). Wasting any revelation is the same as desiring to suffer.

Many of God’s children are shaming their heavenly Father. Look, the harvest has been and will continue to be abundant at this time. However, when the months of crisis come, those who have not prepared for the lack of messages that bring faith, nor kept God’s message, will beg everywhere, and will find nothing. God wants to see you doing the right thing, keeping what He gives you to use at the right time

What would have happened if Joseph, when he was sold by his brothers, hadn’t kept his communion with God? The traders didn’t have the slightest shame in buying him, nor in selling him in the slave market in Egypt (Genesis 37.27,28). Joseph did not defile himself with Potiphar’s wife, who, bewitched by demons, claimed to have been forced by that servant of God (read Genesis 39). Joseph, by becoming governor of Egypt, saved the world from famine (read Genesis 41). Hallelujah!
