Who say to the seers, “Do not see,” and to the prophets, “Do not prophesy to us right things; speak to us smooth things, prophesy deceits. Isaiah 30.10

The prophet was someone to whom God showed what was going to happen in the near or distant future. The words of this servant of the Lord had to be confirmed by the Most High. If they weren’t, according to the Law, he would be stoned to death (Deuteronomy 18:20-22). Anyone who sins against God and does not accept the salvation provided in Christ will also face this penalty, because he has not respected Him as Lord (Hebrews 2.1-3). People need to know the Truth, to understand it and live it as it has been proclaimed.

Man without the regeneration provided by Christ at Calvary remains dead to God (Ephesians 2:1-3). All that he utters is only empty talk, which does not solve the lives of the lost. Spiritual rebellion has blinded society to the point that many reject knowing the Creator and fail to see what He shows them. They believe that there will be magic on that Day. Poor lives!

The spirit of deceit numbs people all the time; after all, the enemy never wants to see them well. Many don’t want to hear about their own future, and this shows the difficult situation in which they find themselves. The Lord’s servant must never compromise, but must speak the Truth that sets free (John 8.32; 17.17). Never be acquiescent to anyone, lest you be held responsible for the actions of others.

Those who are numbed by the kingdom of darkness resemble drunks and drug addicts. They prefer not to hear what will happen in the future, because according to what they have learned from the devil, they ask you not to instill fear on them for what is to come. Jesus did not think so, and He is the personification of Truth. The Messiah spoke plainly about the lake of fire and brimstone that awaits the unrepentant for eternity (Matthew 25.41-46). We must speak with sincerity.

or some, the good preacher tells only what pleases them. Already controlled by the spirit of sensuality, they deny what is in 1 Corinthians 6.13. The Holy Spirit did not use half words to teach that, from the entrance door of the food to the exit door of waste, the only function that exists is the digestive. Therefore, any other interpretation about this, its author will answer for those who live in prostitution.

Now, prostitution is the addition of things that damage the essence of something. Marriage is of one man and one woman: For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.” (Matthew 19.5,6). No matter what the law of any country says, this is a basic requirement to enter the Kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 6.10).

The preacher of the Word is not a teller of anecdotes that contradict the Holy Spirit, Author and Revealer of the divine commandments. There are those who would rather hear jokes with double meaning than the sweet message of the Cross. Satan wants people to remain in his hands. The person who turns away from the Truth can no longer stand it (1 Timothy 4.1-3). Love is pure!
