When they cast you down, and you say, ‘Exaltation will come!’ then He will save the humble person.

Job 22:29

The enemy works tirelessly to get us out of our position of people delivered by the Lord and sometimes he manages to cast us down. He walks around us in our home, at work and wherever we are in order to tempt us, disrupt our lives and cause us to fall into his snares. Stay alert so as not to be caught in his traps.

We are troubled by people who let themselves be used by the devil. Now, if he entices those who are firm in the Lord, the more will he tempt those who do not yet know the truth and are, therefore, in his hands! The best thing is to remain standing and avoid yielding to his temptations for they will always lead to defeat. Staying alert is taking care of your position in Christ.

If we are to blame for the enemy’s attack due to some sin, a temptation we have yielded to or any other error, we just have to ask God for His forgiveness and in so doing we will be eliminating the spark that kindles the fire of transgression and then the flames of iniquity will be extinguished. Right after he tempts us, the devil keeps convincing us of a sin that, in most cases, has not been consummated, but if you remain steadfast on the Word, you will defeat the enemy.

Oftentimes, without realizing it, we are absorbed by the daily affairs of life and as result we turn away from God. Jesus said that the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches and the desires for other things make the Word unfruitful (Mark 4:19). Stay alert because the enemy may tempt you and you may not even notice, for instance, his offer of something very profitable albeit illicit.

Seek only the divine will and be always in contact with the Scriptures for they sanctify, regenerate and provide all the means for us to get rid of the temptations that come up in any area of our lives. He who embraces the Word of the Lord as their Friend and Master of their lives will never stumble.

Judge all things based on the Word because in so doing you will not stumble. If the decision to be made is very urgent, like \”take it or leave it\”, let it go because God never works without having planned beforehand. He knows the thoughts He thinks toward us (Jeremiah 29:11). First, the Almighty plans and reveals His purposes to us. Whatever we decide without His revelation may result in our perdition.

If you have not stayed alert and consequently fell into temptation, do not despair and do not get disheartened. Enter into the divine presence, talk to the Lord about everything, confessing all the details and ask Him for forgiveness. Then believe that He heard you and issue your command in the name of Jesus. Faith must be used to undo all the assaults of Hell that befell you. God is with those who believe in what He says.
