And also that every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labor—it is the gift of God. Ecclesiastes 3.13

This is a decree from the throne of God, which everyone must obey. Clearly, the Lord does not approve of labor spoliation. When there is a shortage of work, there is a labor surplus and it is wrong to oppress someone by lowering their wages, which means less purchasing power than is necessary to provide for the worker and his family. This is not observed by those who need the labor of those who have no one to take care of them.

If the employer fails to pay a wage that will give the worker the dignity to support himself anywhere, he may be inflicting one of the ten commandments: Thou shalt not kill (Exodus 20.13). Now, there are those who use someone’s service and pay less than the person needs; if so, their survival and that of their family will be threatened. This is killing them little by little.

The Most High has decreed that every man shall eat. This is law! No one can fail to deliver the minimum to live to those who help him. Therefore, the contractor who pays his worker a fair wage cooperates with the Lord. But if he does not recognize the value of the labor employed, he becomes a transgressor of this commandment.

The Word declares that every man must eat and drink of his labor! The person who breaks the law of man will be punished for it. Likewise, those who do not heed the biblical precepts make themselves deserving of divine wrath. How dangerous it is for those who create unjust laws, if they do not examine the law in relation to the minimum wage, the worker’s right!

It is not only the basic survival that God says we must observe, but also everyone’s right to take a vacation and go for a walk these days, in order to replenish the energies expended on their job: enjoy the good of all his labor. Thus, the Lord warns us: Behold, the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which were cut down for you, cry out; and the cries of those who mowed have reached the ears of the Lord of hosts (James 5.4).

Of course, we can enjoy our work, and that includes the work of faith that we do, using the Name of Jesus. Bringing someone to salvation fills our hearts with joy, and nothing in this world compares to it. However, this does not mean that we can imply that the person should reward us. After all, we are forbidden to touch the glory of the Redeeming Name of the Lord, who is the One who truly acts (Matthew 10.8).

We must help everyone in the tribulations that beset them. The gift given to us by the Lord has the capacity to operate in majestic and unbelievable ways. With anointed words, we can make a person who is thinking of suicide give up killing himself, and also the worker receiving that which is righteous, delivering him from the death that destroys him little by little. This is God’s gift!

   In Christ, with love,

God of Truth! How tremendous You are in condemning the abuse of some who serve You. You are just and avenge those who have not received their just due for using physical, mental, and even faith to help others live well!

Let Christians begin with an example of respect for others! You will never look kindly on the decision not to give workers what they need to eat, drink, and enjoy their work. We ask You to help us overcome these evils!

We wish to see in each one, employer and employee, people to be honored by those who fear You. We cannot love the Deliverer, if the will of the king of Hell is accepted by Your servants. The devil has come to steal, kill and destroy. Father, deliver us from evil!
