The Lord takes ownership of our initial formation, still in our mother’s womb, saying through the prophet Isaiah, that He has constituted us to be His servants. Now, these are not only those called later into the ministry, but all those who are born again. Some will never bow before God, because they do not reason about His words. Others will not come to terms with the fact that sin will send them to eternal torment. Mercy, but it’s true!
The brainwashing of religions leads their supporters to reject any message other than that preached by their leaders. Moreover, the political philosophy of many governments will lead billions of people to suffer for eternity. Those who persist in dominating them and making them their livelihoods will one day stand before the Creator of the Universe without knowing the answer to why such evil. They will be held accountable for such a crime (Ecclesiastes 12.13,14).
The prophet is talking about Jesus, even when He was a shapeless mass. At birth, He came with the molding of the Father. God’s purpose was to make the body of His Son take the necessary shape, and the same thing happened to us. The goodness of the Lord set us apart to be His servants. Thus, we would be strong and prepared for the challenges of this age. We were made to obey the Lord of lords!
The Spirit of prophecy said that Jesus’ life was designed by the Father to bring Jacob back. This is also the Creator’s purpose in forming us under His care and protection. In His days on Earth, the Savior spent His time telling the Jews that He had come with the Spirit of the Lord upon Him, to proclaim the Good News and set the captives free (Luke 4.16-19), but Israel did not let themselves be gathered. Why did they do this? Only God knows!
Even seeing the indifference of Abraham’s children, Jesus continued to speak of God’s love and His coming to deliver all from the empire of darkness. The meetings ministered by Christ were very powerful, and people were thrilled to see the paralytic walking, the blind seeing, the mute speaking, and the deaf hearing (Luke 4.36,37). Even the dead came back to life as proof that He was Lord of the living and the dead (Matthew 11.5). This is a time of reconciliation, in which God is saving those who believe!
It doesn’t matter how many rejected Jesus. Having done the work as He should have done, He will be glorified. The Jews rejected Paul’s message preached in Antioch in Pisidia: Then Paul and Barnabas grew bold and said, “it was necessary that the word of God should be spoken to you first; but since you reject it, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, we turn to the Gentiles” (Acts 13.46).
The Holy Spirit tells us that Christ, seeing that Israel did not allow themselves to be gathered, said that He would be glorified in the eyes of the Father. Have the same attitude as the Master! Being lesser than Him, we will also not be heard. God was Christ’s strength. Act like Him and win!
In Christ, with love.

Lord, who sees everything! It is a tragedy when people reject Christ. He saw that His work of faith, with its manifestations of signs and wonders, was not accepted by those who saw the glory of God and chose to live in unbelief. Surely enough, they got lost!
Similarly, those who hear the sweet Gospel and do not fit into the holy plan of salvation, choose eternal damnation. What foolishness, Father! There is only one Way, and it has been despised. Look at those who plead for salvation at this hour!
Jacob did not allow himself to be gathered, and therefore did not become the Israel planned by the Lord, because he stopped striving in faith. They preferred numb unbelief to the powerful message of the cross. God, help those who sleep the sleep of death to awaken and take the place already prepared in Christ!
