…though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered.
Hebrews 5:8
The ministry of Jesus is of particular relevance to us all. He was made High Priest of our confession. But in order for Him to become our Savior and King He had to learn obedience by the things He suffered (Romans 5:19). The school of the Holy Spirit is available to all children of the Most High and He teaches us what we must do to attain the position intended for us.
Those who are called by God should strive to fulfill the requirements successfully. So, if a righteous man hurts you, do not hold any grudge or pay in kind; instead, consider that offense a favor in that you can learn a lot through it. Moreover, the good students will always have the Teacher’s approval. Keep in mind that our place in Christ includes tribulations and difficulties (John 16:33), because only then we can let go of the flesh.
Never act like many politicians who do not consider the consequences of their actions in order to be elected; they are capable of doing unbelievable things to occupy a position of authority. However, we should act differently: we must allow the One who called us to prepare us and also show our position in the plan He has for us. Therefore, do not be lazy, but readily set your hands to the service of the Lord for He will provide you with the tools.
While we are in training we go through the baptism of suffering. God sometimes leads His children into temptations that they may not endure if they are not true servants. Many have given up, whereas others have avoided fulfilling the divine plan, which is a great folly. Now, he who proves to love the Lord will also be loved by Him (John 14:21). Moreover, the suffering we are going through cannot be compared with the glory that will be revealed in us.
In the days of His flesh, Jesus offered up prayers and supplications with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and He was heard. The Master’s life was entirely devoted to glorify the Name of the Lord. We must therefore follow in His steps if we want to please the One who called us to be His representatives. If you do what the heavenly Father commands, you will be successful (Revelation 2:10). God is faithful and will reward the faithful.
Regardless of the situation you are going through, the Father is faithful to give you the way of escape. No ordeal will be greater than your strength. If you have been betrayed, dishonored and lied to, be firm. The secret is not to give in to the enemy’s offers. Stick with what the Lord has said through His Word and in so doing you will be highly rewarded; the Almighty shall fulfill all the things He said about you.
