In repeating to Joshua that God would go before him, Moses showed that the son of Nun could not err, give up or turn back. Otherwise, the Lord would not be happy with some wrong attitude taken by the new leader. Likewise, if we are acting in the Name of Jesus, we can not think of having “cards up the sleeve”, so, if in case of surprises, we get rid of defeats that will mark us negatively.
When giving His Word, the Lord believes that the work is already done, and therefore we must consider the matter resolved. Now, in giving His declaration about some evil that strikes us, we must rise up in the faith in Jesus and command that it be resolved just as the Most High spoke, for in that hour our needs were met. To think differently is to allow yourself to be defeated by the enemy. Victory is always ours!
When God moves on, He knows where to take us, what should be done or avoided, and what our duties are to honor His holy name. Therefore, allowing Him to guide us is the greatest secret for us to succeed; otherwise we will be defeated, and this should never be in our heart. To act or to believe otherwise is to deny His Word. Live in a manner worthy of the calling He has given you.
There is no chance God will leave us not even for a second, because He leads us in battle at all times so that we come out victoriously. His statements are the greatest testimony of what we should be and do. If we do not keep His plan, we will be harmed and unsuccessful. To believe that He always guides us in triumph must be our response to all evil.
When the situation seems worst, remember: God is our refuge and our strength, a very present help in trouble, during tribulation (Psalms 46: 1). So, do not fail to obey Him. What went wrong in your life was not unexpected, but the fulfillment of the devil’s plans. However, if you live at the Lord’s feet, you will escape the wiles of the wicked one. Satan has already been defeated by Jesus!
You see, God has become our Strength; He is the ability we simply cannot despise, but rather use. We cannot face darkness using only our strength. However, since He decided to be our God, leading us in victory, why not use that power that is already working for us? Here is the best of life: to know that the Lord is faithful in all things that He promises.
Satan would try to stop the walk of faith and success of Joshua, but this servant of God could face any army of the enemy, because the Most High was with him. Likewise, believe that everything you understand in the Scriptures concerns you. Then, with determination, throw to the ground whatever prevents you from being happy. Enjoy your victory!!
In Christ, with love,

Father, our Forerunner! We are following You, for you went ahead of us in hell and You defeated Satan; therefore, the devil will not be able to take us out of the victory You have already given us. Fill us with the Holy Spirit!
You lead us into the wilderness to be tried, You assist us in our demands and lead us in triumph. Just like Moses' successor would not see the enemy's hand impeding his journey, nothing can defeat us.
We are grateful that You do not leave us or forsake us; thus, we do not have to be frightened or feel abandoned. No matter how hard the battle is, we have already won it in Christ Jesus. Thank You for making us your witnesses in this world..
