Knowing what God has done since the beginning of creation is of great value, for everything that happened in the first days of mankind on Earth, up to the present day, will make us wiser and more powerful in our prayers and resolutions. In this verse from Deuteronomy, the Lord directs us to take note of the things that happened and to remember them. Thus, we will not only understand how to solve problems, but we will also hear what faith produces (Romans 10.17).
Sometimes the devil uses some events to announce to everyone about the end of the world, but when you read about the Flood that hit the earth and killed those who didn’t believe in God, even though Noah preached for 120 years – you won’t be influenced by rumors. The Almighty has revealed that everything will end with the return of Jesus, for which we must prepare ourselves (2 Peter 3.10-13).
This is the guidance of the Most High: let us remember the days of old, from the beginning, and the Bible will reveal to us what we need to know. The Holy Scriptures contain what everyone must learn, without the need to consult the historical records of nations. God does not forbid us to study universal history, but only He can teach us how to obtain faith. History helps us confirm the revelations of the Word!
Remembering the past generations will make us understand the Lord’s plan for man, created in His image and likeness. In the Bible, we see that the Israelites who strayed from the holy path perished, but when they turned to God, they lived free and prospered. Today, the main problem for people is that they are unaware of the deeds of the Most High, which are to be repeated by those who believe in Him (John 14.12). Love the Lord with all your heart!
Children need to ask their parents about God’s operations in previous ages, when His intervention prevented many families from being decimated, torn apart. The Lord worked wonders on behalf of those who sought Him. Many people have not been successful in seeing their whole family converted to Christ. In this case, just talk to the pastor about the work of God in the past generation and in the present one.
Get to know God’s true believers, and you will find some who have served the Father for many years. Some began following the Lord in childhood, and soon saw that their conversions were guided by the Most High. It is good to become friends with the people saved by the blood of Christ, but it is unwise to leave the decision to accept Jesus for tomorrow. You must be prepared to fend off any attack from the forces of darkness (Luke 11.24-26).
The prophet Hosea inquired of the Lord why many are full of trouble, and God answered him: My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children. (Hosea 4.6). Seek God’s knowledge!
In Christ, with love,

God of all times! How good it is to know that You desire the knowledge of Your will to deliver all people from impending destruction. We do not want to let the devil rise up against these lives.
May our teachers always be in consecration to You, for when we need good help from these men, may they be able to assist us. Advance Your work in the course of time, for many grow weary of serving You and slacken in zeal!
In every generation, the evil one lies to get people to leave You and do his will. However, we have to obey Your Word, so that we do not pay attention to the filthy King of Hell. We need Your help!
