05/09/2022 - LEPER UNTIL DEATH

King Uzziah was a leper until the day of his death. He dwelt in an isolated house, because he was a leper; for he was cut off from the house of the LORD. Then Jotham his son was over the king’s house, judging the people of the land.                                                                                                2 Chronicles 26.21

The people who lived under the Law of Moses suffered a lot! Even today, many still suffer because outside of grace there is no provision for forgiveness or salvation. Those who came closest to the Most High, keeping His commandments, looked to the future, when the Messiah would come and provide salvation (Genesis 3.15). Thus, they lived by faith in the promise. The sad fact for Israel is that the Savior came, but was not received as such. Thus, the Jews lost the opportunity to have their problems solved (John 1.12). Only grace brings salvation!

Our time is called the dispensation of the grace of God, but one cannot live as the devil wants: sinning. However, having fallen into some error, today we are able to make use of our Advocate with the Father: My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous (1 John 2.1). He is the Intermediary between God and man, and never loses a case!

Just like Uzziah, the warrior king and victorious in battle, but who was leprous till death because of his sin, many have become adulterers, thieves, murderers, etc. They do not know that they can obtain forgiveness for their sins and be completely restored to full communion with the Most High. This is the message to be given to them. With a simple but firm decision – to trust God’s Word – they will attain the blessed promise of salvation (Acts 17.30-31)!

The guilt of all, no matter how many times they sinned, was placed on the Son of God, who shed His blood for our redemption. Now, confess your mistake and ask for forgiveness, in order to be completely cleansed of any wickedness: And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world (1 John 2.2). Forgiveness, revival and resurrection have already been provided, just believe.

We must not abuse God’s grace by sinning deliberately and then try to obtain deliverance from the transgression. When sin is committed intentionally, it is difficult to be forgiven (Hebrews 10.23-31). Why go on being a leper, a thief, an adulterer, among other bad titles, living in a house separate from God, when you can live in the dwelling of the Most High? Everything was made for us to walk with the Lord as Abraham walked.

Peter committed one of the most serious sins. Jesus said that if anyone denied Him, they would be denied by Him. However, when the disciple came to his senses, he wept a lot, repented, and was reinserted into the Master’s group (Luke 12.8,9; Matthew 26.69-75). David erred, but when he reported his sin, he was forgiven. You see, this occurred in the time of the Law and the prophets (Psalms 51 and 32). Certainly, others also failed and were forgiven, but we do not know if Uzziah acknowledged his error. Be vigilant!

Today, you will only be excluded from the House of God if you sin against the Holy Spirit (Luke 12.10). Now, not everyone who thinks they have committed this sin actually have, because there are a number of safeguards to be broken to be lost forever (Hebrews 6.4-6). Believe in the Lord, for He saves you!

In Christ, with love,

God is strict in the administration of the work! You are strict in dealing with those who have fallen, but You do not do it to condemn them, but to offer the forgiveness and reconciliation that bring peace and salvation. Precious is this time of the operation of Your grace!

If King Uzziah had humbled himself and sought forgiveness, his body would have been freed from the terrible disease. Father, look at the deviant who confesses their error and asks for forgiveness. Give him another chance at grace. Then, he will walk again by Your side!

Behold as well the one who has never sought You, but now opens their heart and asks for the purification of their life. Let them not be called a leper, an adulterer, or any other negative label, but that they have been saved in Christ! Amen!
