For from you the word of the Lord has sounded forth, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place. Your faith toward God has gone out, so that we do not need to say anything.

1 Thessalonians 1:8

The will of God – when He delivers His Word to you – is eternal and extremely important. He didn’t deliver His Word so that you will keep it locked inside a drawer, but instead, His word should operate in your life powerfully. Don’t underestimate what the Most High has given to you. Jesus once said that by knowing the truth, you will be delivered from everything that makes you suffer. (John 8:32)

The Thessalonians understood what God said and believed in His word; therefore, His divine power operated great wonders on their behalf, in such a way that what God did through them and for them was known all around Macedonia and Achaia. The same thing must happen to all that belong to the Lord, for just by listening to His voice, we have everything we need to change the world.

While the Word that’s implemented inside your heart doesn’t cause an earthquake in the lives of the people around you and also in your own life, it hasn’t fulfilled its mission. God has trusted His best to you, to make you someone according to His own will; so never stop the Word from fulfilling its purpose for your life.

The Lord is pleased when our faith is shared with other people, because when this happens, they have an opportunity to know this same faith. Christians who are free from temptations become a reference to those who are lost. Your success in Christ must cause the desire to seek the Lord on others who haven’t yet been saved. On the other hand, your failure may cause them to give up for good.

If we are bad witnesses of the gospel, the lost will lose their hope in seeking the Lord. I hope this never happens to you! On the contrary, that you may become a victorious person in all you do (Romans 8:37). Your life must be like a living letter (2 Corinthians 3:2-3), through which those who haven’t yet experienced the divine love, may read about the great works of the Lord. Those who belong to Christ should always overcome, for they have the Holy Spirit inside them.

Everything is already setup so that you may live victoriously. The defeat Jesus inflicted over Satan was complete. When He was raised up to heaven, He set the captives free; this means that the kingdom of darkness no longer has power to oppress you. The Lord promises to always lead you in triumph (2 Corinthians 2:14). Therefore, don’t be overcome by evil.

When the Son of God conquers our hearts, He prepares us for the operation of His works. The devil can never defeat you. Therefore, search for what has been a stumbling block in your life, repent from your sins and start serving the living God.
