Who is like You, O LORD, among the gods? Who is like You, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?

Exodus 15:11

There are no words to describe our God; because He is complete, whatever we write about Him would have to be written in a superlative way. The so-called gods, a product of men’s imagination, cannot be compared to the Lord. Whatever some of them might achieve is due to the satanic operation behind the worship offered to such spiritual deities.

Our Lord is actually God. He created all things out of nothing and He keeps them by the power of His Word. There is no such a thing as hardships for the Almighty and He honors His promises. The Most High shall confirm everything His lips have promised. His words have never been and will never go unfulfilled.

Our Father must be glorified in holiness. Human strength will not empower men to get rid of temptations and to live in holiness. Our Lord Jesus taught us that holiness comes by the Word of God. Unless that work is done by God Himself we will not be able to glorify Him in holiness. All children of the Most High must seek such Grace from Him and then they will be qualified to offer Him true praises.

Christ said He would never receive testimony from man (John 5:34). If you are trying to sanctify yourself through your own merits, you are not going to make it. In fact, it is only when the work is carried out by the Spirit of God that one can achieve complete and total deliverance. It is in this holiness that the Lord should be glorified. The good news is that we all have the right to such divine operation which frees us from sin, for it is the response to a request made by Jesus.

The Lord is fearful in praises. We need to pay attention to the fact that our God has to guide us even when it comes to praising Him. King David said that his praise would be of the Most High in the great assembly. Both my praise and that of anybody else’s will not be different from the one David gave to God. We aren’t capable, by ourselves, of giving true praise to our Father. Only the Lord can qualify us to this end.

When the true praises – the ones the Lord Himself inspires us to give Him – are given to the Lord, He presents Himself as an awesome fearful God at work. It’s not that God hungers for praise but when we do so under His direction we achieve such spiritual strength that we stand out from among other people who are also in need.

Wherever you happen to read anything about the Lord in the Scriptures you’ll see that He’s always working wonders because doing what He promises is the Lord’s very nature. Yet, if you are a religious and devoted person and abide by the rules of your religion that doesn’t mean you’ll be able to achieve the divine operation in your favor because He doesn’t accept anything that comes from men, no matter how well-intentioned they might be.

In Christ with love,
