I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me.

John 5: 30

Imagine the Divine Verb, The Son of God, The One who created Heavens and earth declaring that He, by Himself, could not do anything. How we deceive ourselves for not being dependent on our God and Father to make decisions which will directly affect our lives concerning marriage, friendships or a business adventure! If the next step to take concerning one of our plans has not been revealed to us by The Lord we must not let such desire get into our heart.

We need to have the same feeling that Christ had in his days here: even though He was The Way, The Truth and The Life (John 14: 6), our Master knew that, by Himself, He was not capable of doing anything at all. Therefore, you and I and all people need to accept, once and for all, that we are dependent on our Creator, if we are willing to be successful in life. Therefore, we ought to never do anything not directed or authorized by our Father to us in the Scriptures.

The secret is to listen to The Word of God and to give IT a voice. To do that you ought to always read the Bible and you ought to pay heed to the preaching based on IT. The right decision to make is to pay heed to The Words given to us by of The Most High because that is the way we can receive faith – without which we will not please The Lord (Hebrews 11: 6 a), though we may do the work considered to be the most beautiful one on earth. Without the divine direction you must neither make any decision nor should you insist on doing things your way because everything that does not come from faith is sin (Romans 14: 23 b).

Those who make decisions based on The Word of The Lord are righteous. Now, those who, very often, take attitudes according to the commands of their heart or will may be being led by the spirit that works throughout the world and that is the reason why they make mistakes. Look! Only those who are guided by The Spirit of God are His children.

Our main goal is just one: to do the will of our Father. Take that as a priority in your life and do not be carried away by anything else, even by something apparently coming from God. If, through The Word of The Lord, this or that does not look like being His will you must drop it at once. The revelation, the assurance and the faith is all it takes for us to please our Father.

He who seeks his own will and takes attitudes according to the desires of his heart goes nowhere, and that kind of person needs to learn that man’s heart is deceitful and desperately corrupt (Jeremiah 17: 9). He who does whatever he wishes does so to please his ego; the desires of flesh and sin. On the other hand, he who does the divine will lives his life as though sin was nonexistent considering that he is too busy to give room to error.

Jesus said that He had glorified our Father here on earth, fulfilling the work that had been proposed to him (John 17: 4). That is how you will glorify Him. Seek and fulfil what God has determined for your life. So, when your day comes you will also be able to say that you have fulfilled the divine plan. Always be a servant of God!

In Christ, with love,
