Hear, my son, and be wise; and guide your heart in the way.

Proverbs 23: 19

God speaks with His children about all topics they need to hear. If they are being carried away by temptations, The Lord gives them a warning. If their faith is shaken He calls their attention for them not to allow the devil to drive them away towards those short-cuts that will end up leading them into the pit. Being our Father, The Most High strives for His children not to go astray and, thus, for them to continue being under His protection and assistance during all their troubled times.

If the children of God allow Him to guide them they will surely be fed with the best food of this life. He is The Good Pastor who leads His flock towards green pastures and towards still waters (Psalm 23: 2). The Lord is The Perfect Father and, precisely for that reason, He will never deny any good thing to those who belong to Him (Psalm 84: 11). Being dependant on God is something utterly significant for us to be successful in all things.

The foolish ones cannot be called as His children considering that they do not subject themselves to the divine wisdom. Many of them consider themselves dignitaries, full of themselves and, if they happen to master any human scientific field, they soon puff up their chests and they don’t seek in The Word the directions for those commonplace problems they face in their daily life. In doing so, the enemy takes them from deception into deception straight down into the pit. Some even happen to blame The Lord for the harm the devil has caused them.

Christ stated He is The Way (John 14: 6) and we all know that Jesus is The Word of God; being aware of that you must lead your heart towards The Way. Those who do not pay notice to that reality are surely heading for troubled waters and, this way, they will be experiencing constant downfalls and sins. That is the reason why it is up to you to lead your heart.

Jesus is The Way of Holiness, something so important considering that, without it, nobody will ever see The Lord (Hebrews 12: 14). The devil offers you whatever it takes to drive you away from The Holy Way because he knows that that is how he will be able to steal your eternal happiness. That is the reason why you must not be foolish and you must not let the liar steal the eternal life that you have already conquered in Christ. Your fate was sealed on The Calvary; therefore you must not swap it for anything.

Being aware of the treachery and the cunningness of the enemy, our Master, on one occasion, taught His disciples that they should salute nobody on their way (Luke 10: 4). Therefore, you must not let anybody get in the way of your relationship with your Father. The Lord is mighty enough to keep you and to show you the right way to go. As a sheep of The Good Pastor you don’t need any other teaching apart from the directions He gives you in His absolutely unbeatable Word.

Do not turn away from The Way of God for anything at all; stripped of His protection there are demons out there waiting for you because their main goal is to get rid of your happiness which is assured now and it will last forever and ever. Do not let yourself be defeated by lies, deceit or by temptation. God gives the complete escape to all those who place in Him their trust. Stand firm looking to The Most High who is The Author and The Finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12: 2).
