… Who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him.
I Thessalonians 5:10
The most important event is about to happen and will take place with full divine capacity. In the blink of an eye, the Lord Jesus will return to this world to search for His Church. Thus, those who are alive will be changed, and the dead will be raised (I Corinthians 15:52). Nothing compares to this wonderful day, but it is important to watch so that when it happens you do not get caught by surprise, for this day will come as a thief in the night, without previous notice (I Thessalonians 5:2).
The stage is being set: the Antichrist will come with fake signs; if possible, he will deceive even the chosen ones. However, as we have the Spirit of God, we will recognize the coming of the man of sin. He will do wonders on Earth, bringing peace and security to its residents and we will be hated by all. Nonetheless, those who endure to the end shall be saved, so now is the time to preach the Word.
When the lost think they have discovered the solution to their woes, saying that there is peace and safety, then sudden destruction will come upon them. What is written will not fail; likewise, the cries of a woman in labor will not stop. But for the children of light there will be no surprises. We must not sleep spiritually for it is time we watch and be sober. Our Redeemer will come to put an end to all wickedness.
The night has fallen upon many who were already saved. They convinced themselves that worldly things are not so bad – though the Word states otherwise (I John 2:15) – and, as a result, they are sleeping the sleep of the unwary. The Day of the Lord will catch them by surprise and then, just as the foolish virgins (Matthew 25:1-13), they will not be able to attend the feast of the Bridegroom. Many people have gotten drunk with the deceitfulness of riches, the care of this world and ambition. Poor fellows!
Those who are of God should seek sobriety, wearing the breastplate of faith and love and taking the helmet of salvation (Ephesians 6:13-17). We were not appointed to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our faith in Jesus. The Lord died for us to live together with Him, and this is the secret that will enable us to stand and be prepared for the coming of the King of kings. Nothing can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8:38-39).
He who takes a stand in the Word will live with the Most High. However, those who do not read the Bible cannot overcome temptations and thereby become separated from Jesus. On the other hand, those who fight believing what the Scriptures say are the ones living with the Father all the time. You know them because they do the work, they are strong, brave, of good courage, warriors, prudent in speech, handsome people and the Lord is with them.
