He who works deceit shall not dwell within my house; he who tells lies shall not continue in my presence.

Psalm 101: 7

Failing to fear The Lord is one of the most evil deeds men can ever perpetrate. A man might even be very religious, considered to set the example as a servant of God and yet if, deep in his inner being, he lets himself be carried away by sinful fantasies or, whenever tempted, he happens to accept an enemy’s hint and then he falls for a sin it turns out that his fate will be the one which is expressed in the divine warning above. Undoubtedly, The Most High will not allow any scandal in His house.

Eli was a priest in Hannah’s days. Apart from being barren she cried out to God for a son and The Most High gave her Samuel who ultimately became a great prophet (I Samuel 1: 11 to 20). Eli’s children were well qualified to become their father’s successors but they let themselves be carried away by temptations and then they did what they were not allowed to. That’s the reason why they paid with their own lives the evil deed they’d perpetrated against the holiness of their ministry (I Samuel 2: 12 to 14; 4: 4, 11). Our Father is still zealous of His work today.

Being a deceitful person is one of the worst attitudes of provocation a Christian might take. It’s almost inconceivable for someone to do something wrong and get away with it – they can’t keep their wrongdoing concealed. The moment they leave the divine presence they’re actually bringing to The Body of Christ a demon and, as they conceal such fact, they’re preventing The Spirit of God from leading them into repentance. They won’t be able to enjoy happiness and, even though they might struggle to, their sin shall certainly set them in the spotlight.

There will come a day on which The Lord will take a stand against them by casting them out just like Moses did to Miriam, his sister, who had stood up against him. Miriam became a leper and then she was shut up outside of the camp for seven days – exposed to its dangers; now, was it not for her brother’s intercession she would have died of that terrible disease (Numbers 12: 1 to 15). The last days of those who transgress will be extremely dreadful and horrifying.

If those who turn away from The Lord won’t come back to Him with all their heart for forgiveness and restoration The Most High won’t be able to do anything in their favour and, at The Final Judgment, they’ll get the verdict they deserve – those punishments in The Old Testament are actually lessons for all those who follow suit. The Lord continues being a zealous God (Deuteronomy 4: 24) and He cannot live together with those who obey the enemy instead.

Where’s Alexander, the coppersmith, who caused a huge harm to Apostle Paul (II Timothy 4: 14)? He certainly cannot be found among those who used to serve God in Paul’s days. What happened to Hymenaeus and Alexander? Would they be delivered into Satan’s clutches to learn never to blaspheme again? (I Timothy 1: 20) They certainly cannot be found among those who are righteous.

It’s not worth swapping one’s salvation for a lie and losing one’s life eternally only to get extra money. Don’t let yourself be carried away by adultery, by practices condemned in The Scriptures or by any other error. God has lovely plans for your life; and that’s the reason Satan is determined to take you out of the divine presence. Do come back to Him right now!

In Christ, with love,
