Make haste to help me, O Lord, my salvation! (Psalm 38:22)

Do not minimize the magnitude of anything bad that may be happening in your life because it is the work of the enemy, who has evil intentions towards you. The enemy does not come except to kill, to steal and to destroy (John 10.10a). He is ruthless and is determined to make you suffer here and forever. There are people who act like the scared child who hides underneath his blanket in order to hide from the boogeyman but in doing so they are just fooling themselves. Well, the devil is real and is always walking about seeking whom he may devour (I Peter 5:8). If he has already begun to act against you, it\’s because he found an open door.

My brethren: the Lord is the only one who can help you. Because He is pure, holy and righteous, there is nothing that can prevent you from confronting the opponent. Moreover, by being merciful, the heavenly Father is not against man, even if he is overwhelmed by sin. The Almighty knows that with the fall, man fell into the hands of the enemy and if He does not intervene, the devil will be successful. The Lord wants to deliver man from the deceptions of the evil one. In fact, those who cry out to God will receive His help because He will not allow evil to continue to destroy those who ask Him for help. The Most High knows that Satan, with his smooth talk, is able to try and use people in the vilest way. However, when the oppressed pray for the aid from the Heavens, the Almighty comes into action and delivers them.

The divine help should be sought immediately; after all, if you wait for the storm to subside, it will give more footholds to the devil. When the devil manages to enter a person\’s life, he never looks at him or her with kindness, because goodness, mercy, compassion and love are God’s prerogatives, not the prince of darkness’. If the unwary allows it, the evil one – who is ruthless, evil and wicked – will act at such speed that there will be no time for them to seek help.

If the Lord should make haste, let alone us! From a simple pain, for example, to a major threat, the best thing to do is to be fast. If you have sinned, do not delay asking for forgiveness. If you are being attacked by a temptation, cry out now for deliverance and take it out of your mind. If you are coming down with some illness it is because you are being attacked. So hurry up and ask the Most High to help you.

God is the only one who can grant us salvation, and the best is that this is indeed His desire. Therefore, seek the divine favor immediately and never stop believing in the Word, because within it the Most High has the way out to your problems, besides warning you about any malicious threats. The Lord is the God of your salvation. If you ask, He will hasten to help you.

In Christ with love,
