02/07/2011 - Make the Lord’s countenance shine

“For the LORD is righteous, He loves righteousness; His countenance beholds the upright.” (Psalm 11:7)
In the Holy Scriptures we find several definitions about our God and one of them says that He is righteous. That means that the Most High never acts in a way that is contrary to righteousness not even to help someone who begs for His favor. So, because He is righteous He will defend the rights of those who are oppressed and deceived by the enemy. He will also help the poor, the disfavored and all those that have nobody they can reach out to.
When we stress the fact that God loves righteousness two things can be understood.
1st – He is not lazy and He does not postpone what is righteous and necessary. Besides, He does not like to see unrighteous acts being committed anywhere. So, all those who are thirsty for righteousness can turn to Him with the assurance that they will be assisted.
2nd – He likes to see us doing the right things, helping those who need the Truth, delivering the oppressed, healing the sick and expelling evil spirits; in short, by doing the same that Jesus did during His earthly ministry.
The Lord does not take his eyes off of us; rather, He answers our requests and helps us; after all, humankind is His creation and the Creator’s wish is to see everybody in the Way of The Truth. Yet, His face is turned to those who do His will. The Most High observes all of His children and when they are brave to believe in His Word and claim their rights He begins operating and grants them the necessary deliverance.
Now, it is sheer foolishness to try to make the Lord be dishonest or evil. The prayer for Him to take something from somebody or to cause suffering to someone will never be answered because God is
the same always: He is righteous and He loves righteousness. So, if someone really wishes to please God he or she must do all his or her best for Him to execute righteousness.
We need to be always righteous and pay heed to the Word of the Lord because The Most High’s face is always turned to this kind of people. In this way His angels begin operating and do the divine will. Consequently, the enemy will not be able to reach our lives because even though he tries to do so our God who is a righteous God; a God who loves righteousness will not allow any evil action against us.
My brethren, be aware of the fact that the Almighty sees everything, so strive to always do good deeds. Because you are constantly being observed by Him you should never let discouragement take over your life and never let your feelings be any different from the standard established in the Holy Book. Fulfil the commandments of the divine righteousness and the Lord’s countenance will shine with happiness upon you.
