Therefore say to the children of Israel: ‘I am the Lord; I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, I will rescue you from their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments. Exodus 6: 6

By sending Moses to Egypt, God had a great and eternal purpose for the descendants of Abraham, His friend. They did not go down to that land to be Pharaoh’s slaves, but as the years went by, the monarchs who succeeded the ancient kings, because they did not know the history, did not have the same regard for them. So, they decided to use them as slave labor. However, the day came when the message of freedom was preached to them.

The Lord would do no less for us, since the enslavement of mankind under the yoke of the devil is greater than that of the Israelites. Therefore, we must learn what has been done in our favor, because in every generation there are similar ones used in the most various means of perversity. We have the power to deliver those who are under the command of the enemy, but we lack understanding of how to proceed, and so we suffer under the whip of the devil.

Moreover, the Lord did not send a man to deal with Pharaoh (who, with his tyranny, symbolized the devil), but his own Son, who came to die to deliver us from the empire of darkness. Man must learn about the work done by Almighty God on Calvary, when His Son paid for our deliverance, shedding His blood and giving us that right which will never be taken away from us.

To the sons of Jacob, God identified Himself as the Almighty. Therefore, they could believe the message sent, because it announced their deliverance from the yoke of Pharaoh. Incredible, but to this day the descendants of Jacob have not understood that Jesus is their Deliverer. However, when the day comes, they will exult with joy. This is what happens to those who participate in the salvation provided by Christ. Most assuredly, they will accept Him!

Slavery would have an end. This was the announcement of Moses. Today, we have to speak with the verb in the past tense, because this has already occurred. The devil cannot oppress anyone, but a person must hear the Truth and believe in it. This way, drug addicts are delivered; the criminals abandon their bad way; the sick are healed, and those who are oppressed by misery and other problems begin to enjoy the abundant life brought by the Savior. Our God is really tremendous!

They would be set free with a demonstration of power never seen before. What was done in Egypt symbolized the greatness of what God would do to deliver man from the hands of the devil. Today, when someone calls for salvation, as well as for the deliverance from vices and sins, healing or any other oppression, the divine power comes into action at that very moment and ends the work of darkness. Just believe to participate in this action of God, who is unique!

The Most High has placed us before the Promised Land and commands us to ascend and take hold of it If we believe in Him, we will not doubt or send spies to see if what He said is true or not. Those who believe can take possession of the deliverance they were given.
