But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one.
Matthew 5:37
There is nothing sadder than having the devil as a master. He is the father of lies (John 8:44) and a deceiver by nature. Whatever he gives to an individual will result in great loss. Those who are at his service and do his will live in misery. You will never find anyone who, serving the spirits, has a peaceful life, enjoys good health and prosperity. Therefore, reject any proposal that comes from him because it certainly is something wicked.
The secret to success is to always agree with God because He is Father and wants the well-being of His children. When we hear the preaching of the Word, or read the Bible, the Lord speaks to us. What we apprehend from it is the best for us. He uses only two words to answer questions on any topic: yes and no. When we understand that something is being offered or allowed by the Lord then we have His yes; when we understand that we should not do or accept something, we have His no.
So the best thing to do is to say yes to what He reveals. Many people fail to receive the divine blessings for not agreeing with Him. Agreeing is not just a mental assent, but to do the Master\’s work. If, by the word of the Lord, you understand that He is directing you to do something, say yes, no matter how hard it might be. God will never give us a mission without providing us the tools with which to accomplish it.
If you are convinced by the Scriptures that something is sinful, say no to it immediately. After agreeing with the Word and saying yes or no, stand firm in what was revealed to you. The devil always causes doubts to arise, trying to make us question whether it was exactly what God said or whether it was a product of our thinking or whether we had better pray until we are absolutely sure about it… Well, there is no greater certainty than what the Lord says.
If the devil suggests something to you and is willing to help you, refuse it. The \”help\” the devil offers has never been valuable to anyone. All those who accepted \”help\” from the enemy found out later that his aid was false and in addition to it, accepting a small \”favor\” from Satan cost them many tears and suffering. Just accept being helped by the Lord, for He is the Source of love; that’s why we can say that everyone who loves is born of God and knows Him (I John 4:7; 5:1).
Strive to not give place to the enemy (Ephesians 4:27). He who gets carried away by sin falls victim to it. We should pay no heed to anything that comes from Satan because it is misleading. That evil being is so wicked that it is impossible for him to do good. Only the Spirit of God is able to assist you and will never charge anything for having helped you. And what is best: God loves you above all else.
