If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
I Peter 4:11
The Scriptures say there is a time to speak and a time to keep silence (Ecclesiastes 3:7). Until we hear and learn the Lord\’s will we should not determine or assume any obligation whatsoever, it is time to hear from God what He has for us. But when we understand His plan, we can determine the accomplishment of what we have been informed. When we heed what the Bible says we acquire the knowledge of the Lord\’s purpose. When God opens our understanding it is time for us to carry out His work, it is time to speak.
Never state anything based on what someone tells you or on your own personal opinion about it, because only the Lord is true. However well intentioned someone might be, he or she may be used by the devil. So whenever we set out to pray, rebuke evil or take possession of our blessing, we should speak according to what the Father has revealed. If we think we can speak of whatever we see fit, we will undoubtedly let the enemy use us. The starting point for taking possession of what belongs to us is when God speaks to our hearts about the things we need. More than through any other mechanism, He speaks through His Word.
The person who heeds the Word of God can hear the Almighty and he who hears Him has the power to govern, manage, and do His work. When God uses His word to tell us of something that is meant to open up our eyes, we find the power we need to rebuke the enemy or ordain a blessing to become reality. Every word that goes forth from God’s mouth does not return to Him void, but shall accomplish what He pleases. (Isaiah 55:11).
Do not waste your chance or use other power, except that which God gives. The authority that He has granted us is exactly what we need. He would never do anything without calculating how much power is needed to accomplish the work He has placed in our hands. God is perfect in every way; He would never miscalculate and choose wrongly. He has chosen you and given you the power to achieve exactly what you have been ordered.
One very important thing to learn is that whatever you do comes down to praising the Father through Jesus our Lord. The Most High would never give us power for His self promotion or to display this virtue as if it were magic. Everything God does for us (or uses us to accomplish) fulfills an eternal purpose. So do not mess with the power of God. Be faithful and loyal to Him. Never forget that the glory is His, and He does not share it with anyone.
The right thing to do, in all senses, is to accomplish things that result in praise to the Lord, to whom all glory and power belong.
