He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber.  Psalm 121.3

Let us believe this statement that the Holy Spirit made through the psalmist. In other words, our determinations, given in Jesus’ Name about what we learn in His Word, will be confirmed by the power we receive as we believe in Him (Mark 11.23). Get ready to take on what Scripture declares to be ours. It’s time to be healed!

God would not be silent on this subject. If He had not guided us in what to do in prayer, we would vacillate and fail to believe properly. Vacillation is a serious mistake Christians commit. Through this carelessness, they remain captive to the evils that torment them. We must not waver! We must believe in the Lord and know that doubt robs us of the works of the Most High (James 1.6-8). He says that our feet will stand firm!

In the verse we are studying, the feet stands for the determinations and positions taken before what the Word reveals belongs to us. This means that, as God gives us understanding of His promises, He watches what we will do in the Name of Jesus. And as we determine what we are to command, the Almighty will be with us, firming up our actions in the fight for our inheritance in Him. That’s enough!

The example of Peter walking on water teaches us never to look at the wind, for the apostle started walking on the water and managed this feat for a few moments, something that no one has done until today. However, because he noticed the strong wind and the rough waves, Peter began to sink (Matthew 14.22-32). Those who stop looking to Christ and look at the trials miss the opportunity to do the work as they should.

Peter cried out for help. When the Master heard him and saw that he was sinking, He stretched out his hand and lifted him up. Then Jesus rebuked him for doubting. It doesn’t matter how you walk. Ever since you decided to walk with the Lord, everything has been planned for you to be carry out in faith in Him. Therefore, never think of any decision that could scandalize the new converts (Mark 9.42). Your example should be one of obedience, not rebellion.

The apostle would have walked as far as he wanted over the water. In the same way, you will be able to go wherever God has commanded you. The devil will try hard to take you off the journey, because that way he will have a chance to destroy your family. Why go the opposite way when the Father has empowered you by baptizing you in the Holy Spirit? Never give up walking with Him, for whoever fails to do what the Word says will never please God. Walk by faith, not by feelings (2 Corinthians 5:7).

The Lord does not sleep, but keeps His eyes on you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Therefore, you will never be destroyed or lose your battles. Take the oars in your hands and sail with faith in Jesus – whether the sea is still or rough. He helps those who believe what He says. Be firm and fearless, for God’s hands sustain the world. He never sleeps even for a second. Why waver?

In Christ, with love,

God who watches over us! The promise not to let our feet waver is all we needed to hear from You. Like Peter, we will cast ourselves into the tumultuous waters of the sea of life, for we know that we can walk on the waves. To You be the glory and honor!

Peter walked on the storm, while keeping his eyes on You. Similarly, those who are not deceived because they obey You-will achieve great things, but if they notice the strength of the wind, they will give up the walk of faith. Help them, Father!

You visit us, guard us, and clothe us with authority to do the same as You did. We have to confess that doing the same works is quite a challenge, but what matters is that we have Your Word to go on. Speak to us, beloved Lord!
