Oh, fear the LORD, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him. The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing.
Psalm 34:9-10
The eternal command is to fear the Lord. In this commandment an enormous string of blessings is included. By respecting God’s will, you will find out that all the divine orders were given to you to open the doors of the heavenly storehouses. Those who comply are rewarded with a greater confidence and as a result many things that were bothering them simply stop being a nuisance.
One day the saints of God will give account of what they were asked to do. The Lord has a plan that He could have carried out Himself or assigned it to His angels. However, His love for us was greater and therefore He determined that we did some of this work because otherwise we would not receive the reward that will accompany us throughout eternity.
There will be no want for those who respect and fulfill the divine orders. The act of fearing God guarantees His good on our life all the time. However, if you lack something and it is keeping you from receiving the promise, enter into prayer and ask for the “eyes” of your spirit to be opened. One thing is certain: the Lord only speaks the truth.
In this world there are individuals who do not serve God, but they are winners. Humanly speaking, they can be considered true lions because in their area of expertise they obtain victory upon victory. However, there is a fact that they need to recognize: they fail to convey to their children their ability to win.
In our midst we can also find the pseudo-righteous. They look like God’s people, they attend church, sing hymns, bear witness to what Jesus can do for those who believe, but their children are on drugs, crime, prostitution and other sins. Only those who learn the Word and fear the Lord are able to make the “umbrella” of faith cover their entire family.
The children of the righteous have a way of escape because salvation includes the whole family. Those who seek the Lord have the power of God working in their lives. But be careful! It does not last forever because the Most High has no grandchildren. Parents need to teach their children to fear the Lord and serve Him; after all, those who fear God shall not lack any good thing (Psalm 34:9).
The truth is that there is plenty of supply for those who serve God. Jesus said He came to bring us abundant life (John 10:10b). Where there is scarcity of resources and multitude of problems, there is lack of respect for the divine Word.
