The word covet was not translated well from the original. In my opinion, it would be better as it is in the Spanish version, the 1995 Reina Valera, which reads: The desire of the flesh is against that of the Spirit of God, and vice versa. There is a secret struggle inside each one of us, which we do not see or even perceive, but we are informed by the Lord of its existence. The flesh is our normal nature, not sin. The truth is that we are naturally inclined to the flesh and never to God.
Whoever lives according to the world, without seeking the Lord in the Scriptures, does not enjoy his best moment. Without understanding the Word, this person is far from enjoying the good and the best that God has prepared for those who believe in His Name (John 10.10). As a result, he faces problems and sufferings that he could easily get rid of. God is the best way for man to be fulfilled in this life and to prepare himself for eternal life. Serve the Lord and live well!
Why settle for little when the Father has prepared the best for your life? (1 Corinthians 2.9). Don’t let yourself and other people’s difficulties overwhelm you if you are already able to solve them. The Lord wants to be fulfilled through your life. So, seek from Heaven the help that will be given to you at any time. Honor the Lord, and He will honor you and free you from the embarrassments that exist in the lives of those who do not believe in His name.
Jesus said that the Holy Spirit is the other Comforter. This shows that the Son of God was the first Comforter (John 14:16). How did the Savior comfort the people in His days on Earth? Certainly, He acted as a man does on someone’s behalf: He laid the head of the sufferer on His shoulder and spoke kind words, which moved the hearts of everyone around. Moreover, He used His authority to cast evil out and have goodness reach such person (Mark 7.32-35).
The Savior comforted the disciples when he said He was leaving, saying: Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you (John 16.7). We did not lose with the death and resurrection of the Master, but we gained a lot. While here, Christ was limited to time and space, and therefore could not do what the Holy Spirit does today – be everywhere at the same time.
The Scriptures declare: However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come (John 16.13). The Holy Spirit glorifies the Lord, because He receives from what is His and announces it to us (v. 14). We do not have to pray to Him, but to the Father, in the Name of Jesus. It is not right to worship the Holy Spirit, because in the Bible there is no such instruction in this regard. We can never go beyond what is revealed to us in the Holy Word (2 John 9).
Following the Holy Spirit’s guidance, we will do our best. Our goal must be to look to Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith, with the help of the Spirit, to walk safely. Our journey is long, but He will never leave us, because He is the Spirit of Christ.
In Christ, with love,

God, our Helper! It is good to have the help of Your Holy Spirit, for He helps us whenever we have problems. With the ministry of the Comforter promised by Jesus, we can face any struggle and come out victorious. Thank You!
In our struggles Your help is indispensable, through the Comforter, who gives victory to Your servants. The intervention of Your Spirit is of fundamental importance in the lives of those who love You from the heart.
If we give in to the desires of the flesh, He shows us the way out, within the revelations of Your Word. Thus, we can live free from the onslaughts of Hell, having Your presence in us continually. Lord, to You we give thanks!
