The Lord’s foreknowledge and omniscience allowed Him to know us from the beginning of creation and predestine us to be made according to His Son’s image. What awaits us in eternity is very valuable, but it is destined to those who’ve accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior of their lives. Both those who reject the invitations from heaven and those who walk astray are wasting time.
It is certain that as long as we’re living in this world, we cannot take possession of the complete pack of Truth, because we are still susceptible to the enemy’s temptations (1 Corinthians 13:9). However, in heaven, we will have glorified bodies and then we will be like our Savior. We will know the Lord as we are known by Him (1 Corinthians 13:12). No words or human understanding can express what we will be like in eternity. Hallelujah!
Watch how great is this verse that we’re studying: we will be the image of the Son of God. Christ is God with the Father and has all the power in heaven and on earth; therefore, whatever awaits those who persevere until the end is much further than what we can think while we are still here (Matthew 24:13). Things will be very unfortunate for those who reject Scriptures, because they will be despising the Creator’s great love!
From now on, we should be vigilant so we won’t fall into temptation (Mark 14:38). The devil will tempt us with his filthy offers, but it is our job to say no to all of them. It is great to take refuge in the Lord; otherwise, our eternal happiness will be compromised. Elisha didn’t take his eyes off Elijah because his goal was to receive double portion of Elijah’s anointing. Our goal is much greater!
We don’t know how much Elisha strived to stand firm. He didn’t take his eyes off the prophet and he was rewarded second after second. Don’t ever stop looking to the Truth and molding your actions according to biblical recommendations. Otherwise, you won’t be according to the image of the Son of God and your eternal destiny may not be what the Bible promises to faithful servants.
Watch that the Father’s promise in the key verse of this message talks about Jesus being the firstborn of many brethren. We will be treated in the same way as Him, as there can be no differentiation between brethren. Do your best and never leave your position, which is a privileged one and envied by the devil. The attention Elisha gave to Elijah, the prophet, should be a role model for us so we won’t lose our reward!
I supplicate that God would give me the grace to be constantly in His presence. Only then will I be able to finish the race (2 Timothy 4:7). And you, do whatever you can to be approved to sit at the table with our Beloved One (Luke 22:29,30)!
In Christ, with love,

God who has a wonderful plan! What great news that we, sinners, can be made in the image of His only Son, the Firstborn of many brethren. God, You amaze us with the greatness of Your love!
Come transform us! This declaration makes us rejoice; after all, You have many good things prepared for us for all of eternity, things we can’t even imagine!
Anything we say isn’t enough to express our gratitude. Even though we know we don’t deserve it, You will make us heirs and co-heirs with Jesus for centuries and centuries. Amen!
