The main verse of this study has already been seen in message 133, but since we are analyzing the first ten verses of the second letter to Timothy, let’s look at other revelations of the Lord in this important exhortation. First of all, the Christian cannot let fear settle in his heart, because it was not given by God, but by the devil, the king of lies and wickedness. Only accept what the Bible says the Father has given you!
Fear was the wide and high door opened by Job. Thus, Satan entered his life and made him suffer terribly. Job even took off his clothes and sat down on a pile of ashes. With pieces of tiles, he scraped away the rottenness that consumed his flesh. Now, he didn’t understand why the Lord had allowed evil to take hold of him, until he said: For the thing I greatly feared has come upon me, and what I dreaded has happened to me (Job 3.25). Close that door immediately!
This negative feeling makes the enemy increase and the Friend decrease within you. When your mind is filled with fear, you see what doesn’t exist and you believe the devil. Your tolerance has to be zero with the practices condemned by God’s Word (1 Thessalonians 5.22), unless you don’t care about the consequences. Those who believe in evil spirits live miserably, even though they have plenty of money and fame. Only Jesus is worthy of our faith. He is righteous!
The Holy Spirit is pure, perfect and good; therefore, we can trust Him, because He only speaks what He hears in Heaven and opens our understanding to comprehend the immeasurable riches of the Scriptures. The Comforter sent by Christ came to take the Savior’s place (John 16.7-11). We receive Him the moment we are incorporated into the Body of Christ (Romans 8.9). The baptism with the Holy Spirit cannot be compared in any which way to what occurs in witchcraft. Pray!
Jesus gives us strength – power to face the forces of the kingdom of darkness and overcome them. Those baptized by the Spirit become strong and fearless. So don’t ever let evil people mislead you with deceitful talk with no commitment to the Truth. In the Bible, there are passages speaking of this endowment of power given freely. Those who have received the Holy Spirit can act like the mighty.
The born-again, who have gone through repentance and the baptism in water and the Holy Spirit, have a love for the lost only found in the Savior. Because of this, they can do the same works He did. With the gift of love, they are strong as death (Song of Songs 8.6). Nothing can overcome them, because the Lord is the one who uses them in this victorious way. Be happy, having God right next to you. Believe!
We can couple the word moderation with self-control, which is one of the fruits of the Spirit in us. Thus, we will get out of the oppressions that dominate and enslave those who do not know their rights in Christ (Galatians 5.22,23). Everyone should learn about this subject, putting it into practice in order to be free from sufferings. Whoever knows the Lord is a blesser!
In Christ, with love,

God, our Strengthener! There is nothing better than to be saved and know You as Father. You give us Your Spirit, to work Your righteousness, loving You and our neighbor in an exemplary way, as You determine in Your Word.
Thank You for repentance, water baptism, and the Holy Spirit, which clothes us in Your true presence. When we are filled with You, we don’t fear the enemy and his threats to afflict us. Believing in You, we will overcome the evil one!
With You we are strong to defeat the evil kingdom, as well as filled with love and peace to show everyone the path to success, moderation, firmness of decisions, and accuracy of necessary faith. We love You, Father!
