14/01/2024 - NOT ALLOW TO FAMISH

The LORD will not allow the righteous soul to famish, but He casts away the desire of the wicked. Proverbs 10.3

When we desire something, a hunger is born within us and is only satisfied by fulfilling that desire. The verse we’re studying tells us that the Lord won’t let our soul go hungry, because if that happens, the weak will pay the necessary price to fulfill it: LORD, you have heard the desire of the humble; You will prepare their heart; You will cause Your ear to hear (Psalm 10.17). He fulfills it!

The hunger of the soul can only be quenched by the Most High, but some people, by seeking the solution to their ills in other places, only cause more problems. Sweet water will never come from a bitter spring. Those who don’t know what is right in Christ will never come to Him. We need to change the way we preach the Good News, we need to talk only about it and not criticize any religion. It’s the providing Source that matters!

Those who disobey God’s Word don’t do so by chance, but because they are still oppressed by the enemy, as Jesus said: You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it (John 8.44). But by choosing your heavenly Father, you qualify to be blessed!

No child of God will go hungry for the Truth, nor will his descendants beg for the Bread of Life. Moreover, even their secret desires will be wonderfully fulfilled, as the Word says: I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his descendants begging bread. (Psalm 37.25). Why live in the opposite direction of life if we have a God who is truly the Father of those who accept Christ?

There is no record of the Lord failing to fulfill any of His promises.  However, it is necessary to claim them with faith and, after having prayed and felt you were heard, face another battle: trusting in the Most High. David said: I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. (Psalm 27:13). So, fight for the faith you have been given, so that your prayers will be answered (Mark 11:24). Watching and praying are good for you!

Who is the wicked if not someone who knows the Bible, but out of sheer foolishness, doesn’t believe the Scriptures and still claims that God is unfaithful? The Lord says: I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently will find me (Proverbs 8.17). What does it mean to love God? Jesus answered: He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him (John 14.21).

The person who knows how to draw near to the Father, but doesn’t do it, when they want to be blessed, will see their desire rebuked. We need to obey the Word, believing that the Lord created all things, including us. He says that He will never let the soul of the righteous – those who practice divine justice and use their right in Christ – go hungry. He loves us!

In Christ, with love,

Lord, our Father! What a beautiful promise You placed in Solomon's heart to help Your people seek You. Trusting in its truthfulness, we thank You because You never let our souls go hungry. In truth, the fact that we are righteous is already a blessing!

Why should we despise You if You have the words of eternal life, which do us good and heal our weaknesses? When we feel that the tempter is near, You will help us. We are grateful for Your great favor!

We don't want to be wicked. Then, once we know the Truth, we won't keep quiet, but will seek You out to solve problems. It's rewarding to do what You say. Loving You above all things is our duty. Amen!
