“This persuasion does not come from Him who calls you.” (Galatians 5:8)

It wasn’t by chance that the apostle Paul was used to tell us that Satan can disguise himself as an angel of light. Light symbolizes understanding and that means that the devil’s works look so perfect at times that many good people might even think they come from God. Our opponent is capable of deceiving us so he can be disguising himself as a Heavenly herald, that’s the reason why many have fallen for his tricks. Yet, those who are sincere and willing to learn how to be guided by what’s written in the Word of God will never stumble and they’ll not allow to be driven by the prince of evil. Only the Holy Spirit – the Spirit of Truth – will be able to guide them and God does it in all The Truth: The Word of God (John 17:17).

As we go through the History of the foundation of all religions in the world we can see their prophets had a vision or they heard a voice or they came to a conclusion. That shows that there’s indeed a spiritual world because all of them got those messages from there. However, none of them got them right because they were all deceived by the prince of evil. Those religions teach that men are expected to do something to please their divinity or to deserve their favor. It doesn’t work like that in the Gospel: we only have to listen to the Lord’s words through the preaching of His Word or through the reading of the Scriptures (Romans 10:17).

Had our Creator not left a Manual of behavior for us not to make mistakes with all that load of information we daily get, we could say He’s not a good God. But He did leave a Manual for us. There are no mistakes in The Scriptures, and there will never be any. We must keep our eyes wide open even when we hear or feel something inside the best Christian churches which are led by the best and the most used leaders; everything must be in agreement with the Word of the Lord – otherwise it’s sheer nonsense.

I know some people who are having experiences with what they call God. Don’t be fooled by anything if you don’t want to make mistakes. Everything that comes from the Lord causes no confusion, no discomfort or suffering; everything He says is aligned with the Bible. A slight diversion signals that it’s time to stop what you’re doing. I’ve seen many people getting involved with evil spirits in my Christian journey because they weren’t bold enough to check out if what they received was biblical or not. Love more the Lord than the revelations you think are coming from Him.

Those who consider themselves spiritual enough to receive God’s revelations must be even more attentive. Get out of the boat when there is still time if one of them fails you or if it’s not confirmed; otherwise you’ll be in great trouble. Don’t be proud! Acknowledge the fact that you were being guided by the spirit of error. Nothing can be added or taken away from the Scriptures (Revelation 22:18-19). When you try to justify the failure of a “revelation” you received you’re implying that God makes mistakes.

When the Most High tells you something – and He does so through His Word – you can completely trust it. However, never allow the enemy to use your mind to create anything and say they were originated by the Lord.

There’s something else I want to point out here, our Father can never be surprised because He knows everything and also the methods to be used whatever the circumstances. God knows what’s coming next. It’s also a good idea to remember that those who are in sin won’t be used by the Lord; they’ll be used by the one who has dominion over them (Romans 6:8-14). So, don’t let sin be part of your life.

In Christ, with love,

R. R. Soares
