Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, 1 Peter 1:22

Every revelation of the Lord becomes a commandment. When you follow what He says, you prove that you love Him (John 14:21). If you don’t do that, you disconnect from Him and walk around without any protection. You’ll be far from God and become an easy prey to be dominated by the enemy, who seeks to work his evil plan against you. The devil doensn’t have any feelings of mercy or goodness. He is evil!

This verse’s orientation is that you would purify your soul, even if you are a target. Those who don’t rethink their way of living, talking and believing in this world, in little time will become a victim of the kingdom of hell. By sanctifying yourself, you will be protected from the attacks of the enemy. What God wants the most is to deliver you from the enemy’s hands.

The cleansing of the soul happens through a simple act: obedience to truth. Well, we know that the truth is the Word of God, and therefore, Jesus (Revelation 19:13). Without it, man lives away from the Lord and will suffer consequences. It is good to remember what the Bible says about sanctification: Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14). 

Brotherly love, without any trace of sin, will never be real without purification of the soul. Many times we consider things to not have any meaning but great value. Scriptures describe the steps we should take in order for God’s work to be made perfect in us (Hebrews 13:21). For certain, those who don’t obey the Lord won’t be successful.

God talks about real brotherly love, but many people inside the church fake this feeling, which blocks them from accomplishing the same things Jesus did on earth. Why do they do that if the Lord is Truth and knows everything? Those who fake won’t live in the house of God. If they’re doing that, it’s because they don’t know Him!

The love we should have for each other, as described by Jesus, should be real and burn in our hearts! If this love doesn’t exist inside of you, ask God, and He will give it to you. Everything the Lord demands has already been given to us. He would never ask us to do anything without first providing the resources. If He has spoken through the Word, believe and act accordingly.

Let us do everything through our faith in Christ, in His name, with a pure and convicted heart. The work of God should be done with the assurance that we will be heard. To love in such a way is to do the work without any self-interest, fulfilling the order from above, because everything that comes from Him is perfect!
