And He will deliver their kings into your hand, and you will destroy their name from under heaven; no one shall be able to stand [i]against you until you have destroyed them. Deuteronomy 7.24

The things of God are holy and must be sought after by those who want to get out of the devil’s action field; otherwise, they will have problems following the Lord and doing His will. There is a large number of Christians who are dominated by all kinds of disturbances. When you talk to them, many show themselves to be true by the way they speak, but there are anathemas on their hands, as there were on Achan’s.

The people had heard Joshua say that Jericho should be reduced to nothing. In addition, the gold and silver found near the images dedicated to unclean spirits could not remain with them, because they were evil snares. However, Achan found a Babylonian cloak, a wedge of gold and some silver and decided to disobey God. He hid them in his tent and was blamed for Israel’s defeat in the next fight (Joshua 7:1).

The kings of Canaan had to be destroyed, because, as heads of the city-states, they had an obligation to forbid those sins in their territories. However, because they wanted to please the people, they allowed idolatry. As a result, the abominations to God were at full strength, and everyone was corrupted. Therefore, they would be delivered into the hands of the Israelites, in order to receive the due punishment!

Today, this matter is settled in the spiritual world. The prayer of faith, made in the Name of Jesus, will completely annihilate the evil power.  God wants to save everyone, including the “kings”, leaders who operate in witchcraft, sorcery and black magic (1 Timothy 2:4). In the New Testament, there is no command for the practices of the Old Covenant to be imitated. It is necessary to live the Truth in order to save those who repent.

The Lord is clear: We have to undo the names of the “spiritual kings” – who think they are gods and consider themselves sent to do good – and of those who declare themselves wicked and consider themselves sent to do evil. Jesus, who bound evil spirits, taught us to do the same. No one can enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man. And then he will plunder his house. (Mark 3.27)

The Israelites had to strictly carry out God’s command to put an end to the kings of Canaan, who let the people become corrupt. Jesus’ ordinances to us also need to be carried out, under penalty of rebellion on our part, and this will bring suffering. In my opinion, many are already suffering. The Master didn’t come to chatter, but to teach how the Father wishes to have His work done by us. Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice! (1 Samuel. 15:22)

The Lord said that no one would stop before us, nor stop us from progressing. In those days, it was men; today, it is the forces of darkness. Don’t create or accept any word that doesn’t come from Heaven! It needs to be in the Scriptures. If you don’t eliminate the evil work, it will greatly trouble or ruin you. Persevere and be saved!
