Two are better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor. Ecclesiastes 4:9

Everyone must agree with the words of the Almighty, for not only is He kindness, perfection and love, but He will never lie. The Creator has never done anything doubtful, because He always acted in a holy and favorable way to man, even though man fell in sin. Enjoying the Lord’s fellowship is a sign of victory.

There are things we simply don’t know: how can Jesus and the Father, being two different people, be One? However, if He said so, we must accept it. In Deuteronomy 29:29, we read: The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children. Jesus prayed so that we can also be one with Them (John 17:21). Under no circumstances do you rise against or come up with personal conclusions against what the Word declares. In the future, God will clarify everything for us!

When sending His first disciples to preach the Gospel, Jesus sent them two by two, with specific orders as to what they should speak and do (Mark 6:7-11). When they returned, they were filled with joy for what had taken place. They discovered that because they obeyed, they were powerfully used. In the verse above we are meditating on, we received such instruction: Two are better than one. Believe in the Lord. 

Our best reward is the joy we feel for being used by God; it will give us an eternal reward. May we have the right person along with us, or may we be chosen by the Lord to assist someone else. It doesn´t matter who will receive the “honor”, or be recognized, as long as the glory is given fully to the Author of our salvation. To do God´s work is a blessing itself. 

Two in one body is a perfect example of what the Most High calls is best. Man joins woman to form a family. With the arrival of the kids, the joy of life is granted to this spiritual Body, which symbolizes Jesus and His church, which is us. Paul said: This is a great mystery (Ephesians 5:32). The One who created all things is the Head of this Body, and we are the cells that compose it. 

When two of these cells come together in Jesus Name, the body becomes unbeatable and overwhelming. But, if such union is only for moments of intimate communion, the whole spiritual purpose is discarded, thus, there is no respect and mutual consecration. If one of the parts commits adultery and not confess to the other part nor ask for forgiveness, they will be ashamed on the Day of Judgement (Proverbs 6:32-35). Stay alert and pray! 

With perfect bond in love and in the fear of God, there will be health in the home, financial prosperity, blessed children and deliverance. Whoever disrespects the vow made before the Lord and decided to remain silent, committing the most wicked attitude against himself, will not go into the Kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 6:10).
