He who is greedy for gain troubles his own house, but he who hates bribes will live. Proverbs 15.27

There are many things that tempt us, fill our eyes and make us feel attracted, but we should pay attention to none of them. Do not listen to the many voices that call us to live various situations. On the contrary, only listen to what the good Pastor says to your heart. By doing so, you will keep walking in the path of complete victory. God has given you a target to reach: the stature of the fullness of Christ (Eph 4.13).

Some give themselves to greed, not noticing that the devil is behind it. With time, they find out that their act of responding to this temptation makes their home a disturbed place. The demon will do everything he can to dominate you, so he will use all the weapons that he has. Since he is a liar, the best thing to do is not to believe in anything that he shows you. This will protect you from being trapped by the evil one.

The same happens with those who give themselves to adultery. The evil one is a master in deceit, and he cunningly makes the adulterous feel no remorse or regret for his act. Some say that they betray because they do not love their partner anymore. They do so because they need someone to truly love them. However, when the passion is gone, all that remains is disappointment, suffering, and sadness.

Greed is present in all sectors of human activity. There are people that desire their neighbor’s goods, spouse, and job. Afterwards, they feel horrible. And even worse: those who do so open themselves to be possessed by the evil tempter. If anyone desires to live in peace and be successful in all the areas of his life, he should despise being helped by the enemy.

Another good attitude is to escape from bribery. If you do so, you will not be under Satan’s yoke of slavery. Be careful and watchful. If the evil one shows you the “good” side of something wrong, do not even examine it. The deceiver is able to lead he who listens to him to the most perverse passion, making this person lose its capacity of examining things and rejecting what is evil.

The jealous person must be avoided, even if he is a happy and charismatic person. He can cause great evil since he listened to the demon. When he is in any trouble, if he is in the hands of the devil he will not think twice before harming us. What is best is to act like the Master, avoiding every attempt from hell in your life.

When the demon of greed comes to tempt you, do not open yourself to him unless you want a disturbed life. Why should you lose your prudence, self-control, and accept suffering? One of the greatest blessings that the Lord has given us is the power to make decisions. Therefore, decide not to give yourself to any temptation. Living in holiness is amazing!
