In the same day I will punish all those who leap over the threshold, who fill their masters’ houses with violence and deceit. Zephaniah 1.9

The Lord God created the Earth and gave it to Adam and his descendants: us. It has a threshold, for us to enter it – the maternal birth. The devil could not enter our world, because he does not have the power to become a seed and, like Jesus, be born here and be a citizen of the Earth. Christ is one of us, because He was born in the same way as we are.

The evil one was classified by the Savior and Lord of all as a thief and robber. The Master declared: Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber (John 10.1). The threshold also prevents us from having contact with Satan, but some jump over it and unknowingly serve as a “door” for the darkness to cause harm to the unwary.

Those who deal with evil spirits don’t know how much they hurt the Lord. We must pray and worship God only (Matthew 4.10). Those who cross the threshold for the most varied reasons will be severely punished for eternity. Furthermore, those who practice sorcery, or seek to receive something through those who “work” in invoking spirits, are also considered sorcerers and will taste the second death (Revelation 21.8).

Some people see no danger in having idols on their property, which they refer to as memories of people who served God. In fact, they worship their gods and try to get blessings with their help, which is impossible. In the Scriptures, there is no guidance as to even petitioning Jesus’ own mother as an intercessor. Mistakenly, many believe that every son answers to his mother; therefore, the Master would answer to Mary.

Without biblical knowledge, in times of adversity, some do not bother to understand what the consequence is of sacrificing something to an idol or a false god. The apostle Paul talked about this: Rather, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice they sacrifice to demons and not to God, and I do not want you to have fellowship with demons (1 Corinthians 10.20). Seek only the Most High!

God warns about the danger of worshiping idols and making some request to them: They have hands, but they do not handle; feet they have, but they do not walk; nor do they mutter through their throat. Those who make them are like them; so is everyone who trusts in them (Psalms 115.7,8). Whoever disregards biblical guidance gives access to the adversary for him to be here.

According to the verse studied, those who jump through the door of the sheepfold will be punished. Whoever acts in this way will fill the world with violence and deception. What is the point of putting what is no good in the house, if we will be punished? Be vigilant and never use the “favor” of those who only do evil; otherwise, you will be condemned to eternal damnation!
