03/08/2021 - OUR ADVANTAGE IN WAR

Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight; your enemies shall fall by the sword before you. Leviticus 26.8

In the war against the devil and his angels, we have a great advantage from the Lord, for our ability against a small group of demons is increased fivefold. So if the number of hell’s agents reaches one hundred, our strength will increase one hundred times that of the enemy – ten thousand percent! Satan will not stand up to the power placed at our disposal. If it goes beyond one hundred demons, the multiplication will be geometric.

The promise was made to Israel, who was physically fighting. For us, God will send the necessary number of angels. At the time Jesus was arrested, the apostle Peter drew his sword and cut off the ear of Malchus, the high priest’s servant (John 18.10). Christ told him to put away the sword, because if he wanted, he would pray to the Father, and the He would send 12 legions of angels (Mattheus 26:53). Now, if the heavenly legion was equal to that of the Romans, 72,000 angels would be sent.

The devil will not stop tempting us. However, Jesus said that we will have tribulation in the world, but He has overcome (John 16.33) – so we will also overcome. The insistence of the evil one annoys those who suffer his attacks. Even though we know that we are in a superior position to him, because we are children of God, Satan comes with his dirty way of tempting us. Being afraid and not rebuking him as the Master did is completely wrong. When the adversary comes against you, rebuke him in Jesus’ Name.

Those who don’t want to give order against the devil are deceived, because they think that he can get angry and attack them. The adversary’s nature is evil, and he resents our position in Christ, so he will never stop provoking us. If you resist in the Name of Jesus, the evil one will flee, but he may tempt you again; the key is to resist him firmly in faith (1 Peter 5.8,9).

In the proportion used by Moses, one of us would make 20 enemies flee, but remember that this was in the Old Testament, when the Savior had not yet overcome Satan and his demons, so they acted as if they owned the Earth. But now it is not like that anymore, it is better: Christ stripped them of the authority stolen from Adam and gave us power over all of the enemy’s capability (John 12.31). We are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37). Hallelujah!

Because of his oath to the Gibeonites, Joshua went to their aid (Joshua 10:6,7). They were under siege by a confederation of nations, which wanted to destroy them because they had made peace with Israel. Every promise made by God’s people must be honored to the end. The Lord Himself entered the battle against the wicked kings, by casting stones from heaven against them (Josh. 10:11). He fights for us too, if we just do the right thing.

When a person asks you for help in prayer, make sure that their fight is clear: if they want divine help, if they want to get rid of sin and enter the Kingdom of God. If this isn’t clear, lead them to repentance. Go into battle with the assurance that your prayer will be answered. Finally, using the Name of Jesus, close the matter.

In Christ, with love,

Lord! We don't have to fight against flesh or blood, but against the evil hosts, using the Name of Jesus and the weapons of Your righteousness. Thus, we will destroy strongholds and any work of the enemy in ourselves or in others!

Israel had its strength multiplied. For every situation in which Your people find themselves, You provide the necessary power. With this, we can enter the battle to put an end to the operations of darkness. Thank You, Beloved Father!

If we don't do more for Your work, we have probably wished for the wide gate and the broad way. This shows that we are not yet, in fact, in Your Kingdom. With Your mercy and grace, we will accomplish Your will by faith. Amen!
