Let the wicked fall into their own nets, while I escape safely.

Psalm 141.10

In this psalm, we see what happens to both servants of God and the wicked. If we start thinking, we might remember people who, like us, used to go to church, used to claim they were Christians, but started creating fantasies and showing little appreciation for a life of holiness before the Most High until something serious happened to them and they left this world prematurely.

The lost ones (those who do not believe in God’s Word) have a behavior that is very different from that of the children of God. So if you do not want to find yourself in the hands of evil spirits, never allow these practices to seduce you. Those who are attracted to the practices of sinners are labeled wicked, because they do not respect the Holy Word, and their end will not be a pleasant one.

King Salomon says in Ecclesiastes 12.13: Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is man’s all. But the wicked do not take heed to this, because they want to satisfy their own carnal desires. How can a Christian sit at the bar with lost people to drink? When will they become Christians? Never! The wickedness of this “saint” will only further lead those souls to perdition.

We must be alert, because there are people who are setting a bad example. It is a duty of those who are saved to strive to never give those who are lost approval of their acts, because he who does not act in this manner has become wicked and, because of what he does, he is saying, in other words, that the Lord did not say the truth when he gave us Psalm 1. Watch out! Perhaps you are setting your own trap and will fall into it.

There is nothing better than living in the fear of the Lord, doing his will. Those who do that find out that the path of righteousness is much better. Those who walk the path of wickedness never are truly happy; their plans will always be frustrated, because there is no peace for the wicked.

The Lord used the psalmist to speak about escaping safely. The absence of divine power in us is a sign that our actions are not pleasing God. The heavenly promises belong to everyone who has been accepted in the family of God! However, many people are not able to receive an answer from the Lord. If this is your case, it is time to change! After all, your behavior should not prevent the Lord from moving into action in your life.

Not everything that is pleasant, enjoyable or profitable comes from the Lord, but only that which is holy, that edifies us and does not harm us. Therefore, examine yourself. Surely, the devil has done everything he can to deceive you and perhaps you are allowing him to do that. Nevertheless, do not fall into the trap of the devil, nor allow yourself to be lured by the serpent, because its path leads to death. But those who are of God are able to escape safely!

In Christ, with love,
