The LORD brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He makes the plans of the peoples of no effect.

Psalm 33:10

The stories contained in the Bible teach us a lot about the stubbornness of man such as, for example, the one that tells us of what happened to Nimrod, who wanted to build a tower with its top in the heavens, but his plan was thwarted by God (Genesis 11:4).
Mankind in all ages prepares ambitious projects, but many of them have been of no avail. Politically, several nations have led millions of people into losing their lives in wars for nothing. We had, for example, the emergence of communism and its downfall. However, was it worth for those individuals to fight for the communist ideal, being arrested, tortured and even killed?
In our days, many \”enlightened\” people have emerged, but despite coming up with proposals that sound like the solution to all problems they are also responsible for killing thousands of people. It\’s always been like this: people applaud the rise of these \”Messiahs,\” who soon show their true colors as oppressors of their people, after all the flag they unfurl is that of pure self-serving interest. Well, the answer we seek is only found in our faith in Christ, when we bow before God and accept Jesus as our Savior and Lord.
The first century church did the work correctly, but the persecution it suffered led the successors of the apostles to wish for worldly things. When Constantine I issued his famous decree, turning the Christian church into the official church of the Roman Empire, the real Flock suffered a major blow: what became known as the Lord\’s church fell from grace and started to get involved in temporal human government.
Those who do not know the truth are like blind leading the blind (Matthew 15:14). If everyone knew that the Gospel is not a religion, liturgical formalism, a kingdom of doctrines and spiritual blackmail, they
would lead a victorious life in Christ, free of crimes, betrayals and other works of hell.
You have to respect the statements contained in the Word of God because what is not set forth by the Law or found in the testimony that the Holy Spirit gives to the hearts of those who hear His Word is not commendable. Only the coming of the Lord has the power to bring the necessary light that will lead us to success.
The solution to the crises mankind goes through is found in this clear and transparent faith that comes to our heart by hearing the Word. In fact, those who learn the Holy Way and walk in it are blessed in everything they do (Proverbs 16:20).
