But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty

I Corinthians 1:27

The choices made by God are always the best ones. Because He is perfect everything He does is excellent – including His choices. Therefore, do not let the devil convince you that the contrary is true because, undoubtedly, any word apart from what the Lord says is a lie. The Most High saw in us something that not even we know about and His will for our life is – and will always be – the best thing that could happen to us. It is good to know that the choice made by the Lord will never be cancelled or undone.
Despising what the Almighty One did on our behalf is extremely foolish because one day we will give account of what we have done concerning the revelations that were given to us. That is why we must always preach the Gospel; after all, nobody is blessed by chance or accidentally, but by the faith put into their heart when they pay heed to what the Word of God declares. So, do not let your mouth pronounce anything that might sound like an act of rebellion against the sovereign decisions of the one and only God.
The Scriptures inform us that few people – among those who are called by the divine decision of summoning us to be the holy people – are wise, powerful and/or people of a noble lineage. That proves that He loves all of us because He is not recruiting only those who are considered the best or more capacitated; He also calls the simple and the despised. The divine calling was made to both me and you. What a privilege!
In the verse above we can see that God chose the foolish things to put the wise ones to shame and the weak things to get the strong ones confused. So, take that as your mission! In your walk with Christ you need to be used in such a manner that the so called wise and seemingly strong
people will be put to shame before the foolish and weak who feel such a great love towards the Lord. All glory be to Him!
We, the humble and rejected, have an important ministry to exercise: we were chosen to reduce the proud to nothing. We must not bow down before them! Now, reducing them to nothing will not be accomplished by means of Science but by our actions according to the Word of God. Oh, if only the Lord’s people would learn how to be guided by the Almighty… the Church of Jesus would achieve much, much more then it has already achieved!
Our mission – which is very noble and was given to us by our Creator – is about turning the proud into dust. All we have to do is to make a decision for that to happen. The Holy Spirit explains that God assigned us with this task because He does not want anybody to boast in His presence as though they were superior.
My prayer is for your life to be used, in every way, in the fulfilment of the divine will.
In Christ, with love,
R. R. Soares
