As for me, I will see Your face in righteousness; I shall be satisfied when I awake in Your likeness.

Psalm 17:15

At all times we, human beings, have to make decisions but we are not always able to judge whether what is being offered to us is good or bad, pleasant or unpleasant.  King David set out to walk according to what the Lord spoke to him and thus he was always victorious. This is because, when he chose to see God’s face, he managed to not be seduced by the offerings of the evil one.

He who does not make the same decision cannot enter the Kingdom of the Most High, and therefore they will not be able to be satisfied when they awake in His likeness. As a matter of fact, only those who are guided by the Holy Spirit will fulfill the simple but necessary requirements to be invited into the eternal kingdom, which has been prepared from the foundation of the world (Matthew 25:34). What a loss awaits those who do not believe in the Truth!

One day all of us will certainly wake up. Death is not the end but rather the beginning of an eternal journey. However, not everybody will be headed to the same place. Some will face everlasting shame; others will be invited to enjoy the blissful and blessed life that never ends. Nevertheless, it is amazing to see that there are people who do not prepare to have a glorious future.

Just as in eternity, it is not hard to be happy here. The secret is to see the Lord’s face in righteousness, as the Psalmist said. This means to base our daily choices on what the Lord established in the Bible. God does not forbid wrongdoings aimlessly, requiring us to do unnecessary things. Rather, He helps us through His Word so that we do not fall into the hands of the deceiver and He also gives us true happiness.

Therefore, do not do anything, absolutely nothing that is not written in the Holy Scriptures, because that which is not registered in its pages has no value at all. When you establish yourself on the Bible, you obtain enough light to avoid making any decision that could embarrass you or rob you of God’s blessings, after all the Word of God is the food that nourishes you and keeps you from the wiles of Satan.

Thus, if there is not a right direction, do not decide anything; wait until the right Word for your specific situation is revealed to you from on High. As a result, you will not only act wisely, but will also be able to deflect the fiery darts that the enemy flings at your soul.

He who sees the Almighty’s face at all times will always be a winner. By trusting in what the divine Word teaches us, we can win all battles. However, the best of all is what we will enjoy throughout eternity. After the coming of the Lord Jesus, we will wake up on the other side, with glorified bodies. Then, we shall be satisfied with the divine likeness with which we have been clothed.
