For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:

Hebrews 10:36

The promise the Lord made of rescuing us shall be fulfilled when Jesus returns. However, until then, many other promises are reserved for us. For this reason, we should never be taken by sadness when we are proved. With His wisdom, God will protect us from all the devil’s traps. Therefore, stand firm on His promises and don’t be overcome by the devil’s lies. The Most High is faithful to redeem those who believe in Him.

When Jesus returns, we shall be made like Him; and then we will know Him just as He knows us (1 Corinthians 13:12). To those who stand firm on the heavenly promises, eternity will be wonderful, for the Lord guaranteed that He’d prepare a place for us, and that He’d come to rescue us. (John 14:2,3) However, those who don’t pay attention to the Master’s words, one day shall regret their decision immensely.

Until then, we must be patient. If you haven’t been persistent, ask the Lord to change you, because otherwise, you might end up saying or doing things that will keep you from entering the kingdom of heaven. The enemy tempts us in many ways, and when his trap is prepared, one of his main strategies is to make us act without thinking. However, we should keep in mind that those who obey the enemy shall be disqualified to rise to heaven with Jesus.

A very important secret not to fall into temptation is to be patient during tribulation. The temptations that are placed before you don’t happen without a reason; they are produced according to the enemy’s capacity. Nevertheless, temptation alone is not yet sin; thus, if you do not accept what he offers you, you will not be guilty. If the devil insists, do not be desperate and act only as Jesus did, when He was tempted in the desert. (Luke 4:1-13) The verse we are analyzing tells us we will reach the promise after we have done the will of God. So seek what God has in store for your life, and be willing to fulfill the mission He gives you. Whoever doesn’t obey His orders will not reach the promise. The goal of our faith is to obtain the fulfilling of everything that was promised to us.

The enemy tries all he can to stop the fulfillment of God’s plans for us, and to achieve his goals, he offers us the most beautiful and precious charms – the ones that tempt us the most. Therefore, be faithful and don’t give him any space. When temptation comes, send the divine fire upon evil.

God’s planning is perfect. He knows your weaknesses and He knows that you are sincere. That’s why our heavenly Father chose you to be His servant, and to become a member of the body and an heir to the promise. Being patient and fulfilling His will for your life, you shall reach what has been promised and prepared to you, and you will be on the Lord’s side forever.

In Christ, with love,
