Then he said, “Look, it is still high day; it is not time for the cattle to be gathered together. Water the sheep, and go and feed them.” Genesis 29.7

Jacob politely made the shepherds understand that the reason they were standing by the well at that time was because they were young and lacked the proper strength – or some were adults, but had little energy. Then, in due time, Jacob would take the stone out of the well, and they would see that he was more than he appeared. Wisely, we must let the lost know our strength in God, which is always greater than necessary.

Now the Savior has given us power over evil, saying: Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you (Luke 10.19). So, we need to be aware of our position and use the authority placed over us to bless those who are suffering. There isn´t and there won’t be a single demon that embarrasses us, we just have to be in Jesus!

Exhorting people about wasting time and life is quite salutary. The devil makes them feel tired in the prime of life; many waste their strength on vain things. Then the cost falls on everyone. If we can awaken them to what they lose for not following the Lord, we will give the best benefit that the homeland needs. Those who walk with God never get involved in wrong things. Amen?

It´s sad to see someone with the ability to help and do nothing. Even though they see others make mistakes or waste their gifts and time, they don’t open their mouths to help them. We are just passing through this world, so we have to leave the next generation an example to follow. Although they claim to be saved, there are people who only think about hurting their neighbor and taking something from them. Oh, oh, oh!

There is time for everything! The cattle, for example, needs to graze until later in the day to enjoy the day. Those who don’t see the animals’ need will never see man’s need, because all they care about is being well. When the time comes to take the cattle out to drink, it is not good to defer. Even when building a tower, everything must be planned. That way we won’t leave it unfinished. Calculate your responsibility!

How many are performing jobs where little is paid, because they didn’t take advantage of the time they had to study. In a few years, they could have been trained as doctors, engineers, etc., but they continued in the primary sameness of life, because they didn’t wake up to the fact that you have to “work hard” to be someone in front of everyone. Those who apply themselves to learn more, surely, will have better days. While others…

With wisdom, Jacob showed those shepherds that they were doing wrong, and they let themselves be taught not to continue the same way. Before long, they must have learned that Jacob was getting rich honestly, as he applied what he learned from his parents – Abraham and Isaac – and prospered. You have surrendered yourself to Jesus to live a decent life. Wake up!
