Men of God, being servants of the Truth, will never be enemies of the people, of the nation, or of those who walk outside the divine will. Some are still behind and, for this reason, fail to act correctly towards those who invoke the Most High as Father. However, this does not make them participants of Satan’s works, who came to steal, kill and destroy (John 10.10). Those who are weak in faith today, with just a little intercession, will be useful in God’s hands tomorrow.
Elijah was given yet another task, because the king and his wife Jezebel decided to let the devil use them unlimitedly. This couple fraudulently took the threshing floor of Naboth. Jezebel, the architect of the homicidal plan, got false witnesses, who lied about the man, in order to get him stoned (1 Kings 21). How many crimes are committed with this strategy, and how many judgments have been made out of economic interests or vanity? However, God is the righteous Judge, who sees and judges everything (Jeremiah 11.20).
Christians must be prudent when speaking and, especially, when judging, because people blatantly lie to achieve their goals. Now, every lie or deception, is headed by the devil. Even if something gives you a huge profit, what they call “the fulfillment of your life”, never accept it. Men of God must have clean hands at all times. May the Lord help you when deciding how to proceed so as not to sin.
In the world, it is said that the ends justify the means, but when the means are at odds with the Word, they are useless to us. Flee from those who act deceitfully. Follow only the Truth that sets free (John 8.32). One day, you will all stand before the Judge who never lets Himself be affronted, and what will you say if you have allowed or participated in someone’s wrong judgment? Be aware and don’t get involved in anything sinful! Watch, pray and speak the truth!
Elijah’s answer was yes, for he had found the king. The prophet represented the truth, which will always find those who act wickedly. David asked the Lord: Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may stand in His holy place? (Psalm 24.3). The answer came at once: He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, nor sworn deceitfully (v. 4). We are the salt of the earth and we cannot err!
Shortly before, Ahab had seen the power of God using Elijah, who despite being alone, had the courage to face the 850 prophets of Baal and Asherah. He proved that the Lord was the only God, and Ahab told this to his wife (1 Kings 18.18-40). This fact not only allowed Jezebel to harm Naboth, but also to take over the vineyard. She was used by the evil one to take possession of the land of that citizen who honored the Lord. The sentence given by Elijah was serious!
Be careful what you do and assume before God! His eyes are perfect and all-seeing. Never get involved in swindles; otherwise, you will turn away from the Truth – from God. Nothing compares to the eternal damnation prepared for liars and other sinners. No matter what the loss is; always have white garments (Ecclesiastes 9.8).

Lord, our unfailing Guide! Having heard the Word and felt the touch of the Holy Spirit, we refuse benefits that contain lies or other works of the devil anywhere in the process. We only want what comes from Your pure heart and from Your hands!
Ahab knew what Elijah was doing when standing before him again and had no respect for the Truth, calling him an enemy. It was the devil himself speaking through the weak and evil king. Whoever accepts deception is completely wrong!
Mercy! Our hands need to be clean, our pockets need to be empty of the wiles of the enemy. Father, we cry out for help. Deliver us from evil, from every work of Satan, lest we lose Your presence. You are the One to bless us!
