We can do nothing if we are far from God. Therefore, the Word instructs us on how to succeed in our walk of faith. Jesus clarified this matter, saying: If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. (John 15:7). We are unable to walk and do anything else if we act contrary to the Scriptures. But by following the commandments, victory is certain!
The gospel of John brings a series of statements about the Word of the Lord, leading us to understand that everything was made in it, by it and for it: in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (John 1:1). When nothing yet existed, only God and His Word, the Word, the Heavenly Father determined what He wanted to be created, and everything was made according to His direction. After examining His works, He saw that they were good.
The Father’s care was great. Although completing each work by His Word, there was still a quality control. After approval, He determined another creation, and so it was with each one. Next, God said, Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth (Genesis 1:26). The Lord was referring to someone like Him!
Yes, the Father spoke with the Word, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, so that together they would make man in His image and likeness. How wonderful! We would still be like this if it were not for sin having contaminated mankind. Think about it! We are not today what we will be after the complete deliverance from Adam’s fall, which will take place at Jesus’ return to Earth, when He will take us to His Kingdom of light. What a blessing!
If we understood more about Christ, the Word of God, who created everything after the Father had ordained it, we would live better. The Scriptures declare: He was in the beginning with God (John 1:2). In the Creator, men can praise His Word; they will do nothing apart from the Lord (John 15:5). Whoever is in Christ is in God Himself; then he can ask whatever he wants, and it will be done for him.
It has already been made clear that Jesus is the Word of God, and His Word never returns empty, but does what it was commanded to do (Isaiah 55:11; John 1:3). In the context of the verse studied, to praise means to act by the Scriptures, fulfilling what they proclaim. This union with the Father and the Word, the living Word, which form one God, must exist as the Bible says: But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him (1 Corinthians 6:17). This is our chance to accept the Lord Jesus!
Don’t just sit back and wait for God to do the work on your behalf. Stand up and assume your rights in Jesus, according to the Scriptures. The Most High will help you to obey Him. Every promise and commandment revealed becomes the Lord’s command to the obedient. He wants to use you, so act in the Name of Jesus.
In Christ, with love,

Lord of praise and action! We need to be in You; that way our path will be successful. You are the Beginning of everything, including our life. It is good to worship You and to do Your will just as You have revealed it!
Thank You for teaching us to act in the Name of Your Son! Thus, we will never stop serving and loving You. Your revelation is the light we need to go all the way, carrying out Your commands. Your precepts are beautiful!
In You we will magnify Your Word, dedicating our love and service to You. Do not leave us alone, but guide us as Your faithful servants. This way, we will never fall into the snares set by the devil. Father, we want to love You!
